It 's amazing how manufacturers predict that their products will last for "Twenty Years". Whether you are dealing with shingles for the roof of your home or a mattress for your bed the product never lasts as long as the warranty says it will. Our old mattress was a good example guaranteed for twenty years but was only seven and a half years old and killing our backs. There was a big difference though. Kathy and I both fell asleep almost instantly last night and both slept in this morning. We also awoke with very little pain that we have lived with because of the other mattress. Karen in a comment asked where was the picture of the new mattress. Sorry with the linens on it it looked the same as the old one did. Sorry still no picture!
Since we were feeling so much better then we have in awhile we went over to our daughter Karen's house to start working on the firepit patio that I promised to do. Unbelieveably it was a beautiful sunny day with the temps around 59 F ( 15 C ) and we were able to layout the diameter of it and start removing the sod from part of the circle. The sod that was removed was placed in areas of the lawn that weren't growing so the sod was not wasted. We both have some aches from the exertion tonight but are still feeling better then we did last night at this time. Another bummer is we forgot the camera at home so again you'll have to wait for pictures.
We had an errand that needed attention at the legion tonight so while we were there we also enjoyed their Friday Night Fish and Chip Fundraiser. We needed that to help replace some of the energy that we burnt off today. With only 51 days until we are on the road again there are a lot of things that need to be finished off before we leave. Did you also know that it is only 68 days until the start of Summer. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.

well, even without the pictures, we are glad you got a good night's sleep!
ReplyDeleteWe bought a new bed for the house a few years back, and it's stiff and hard and Steve loves it. I hate it. I put 2 layers of foam on my side and it looks funny now even when made up, because of the LEDGE... but the mattress in the motorhome is perfect and we both sleep very well on it.
So I guess that means we need to sleep in the motorhome more often, and as soon as the house sells, the kids are getting that bed from the house!
