One New Sticker, Two Fun Visits and Four Shoppers In A Day.

Our Location today is at Wildwood Golf and RV Park, McGregor, Ontario.

When the Rain started tapping pounding on our Vent Covers last night the sound was actually too loud to sleep. Many Fulltime RVers use Vent Pillows to insulate the Vents from the cold or heat. Last night they proved to have equally good Sound Absorption Qualities.

The tapping on the rest of the roof lulled us to a restful sleep. It was when that tapping stopped this morning that I woke up and couldn’t believe the time. Another thing the Vent Pillows do is block out the light that makes its way inside via the Vents themselves.
These clouds were actually quite dark.
I’d barely gotten things ready for breakfast when Kathy came downstairs feeling the same way I did. Everything outside was quite damp and yet we could hear the sound of the Commercial Lawn Mowing Company approaching. Before we finished our breakfast they were spewing clumps of wet Grass over many of our neighbours yards.
While relaxing with our Coffee/Tea at the Computers we discussed what we needed to accomplish today. With the continuing Drizzle leaving little opportunity to be outside we made a list of errands that needed to be taken care of.
Kathy decided we needed something filling to tide us over so she made Pork and Beans on Toast for lunch topped off with a Pudding Cup for dessert.
Camera doesn't always focus
We were on our way shortly after noon headed for Windsor. Our first stop was Guardian Storage to collect what Mail there was.
Next we headed to the Service Ontario building by the Picwick Plaza to get the License Sticker for the Truck. We have been so busy with appointments that it wasn’t until yesterday that I noticed I had been driving the Truck with an expired Sticker. The place was packed but after standing in line for a Half Hour it only took Two Minutes for us to have our new Sticker. Our Wallets were a lot lighter but not as lite as they might have been if I had been pulled over.
With all the appointments we’ve had we hadn’t had time to visit with our friend Kathie. When we arrived at her apartment she was baby sitting her granddaughter Kingsley. Kathie herself had been hospitalized while we were away this past Winter.
If you recall last year we had attempted to sell the CPAP Machine that had belonged to her late husband on Kijiji but after only having it posted a day they removed the ad saying we could not sell medical equipment. We all believe things happen for a reason. Kathie is also being sent to the Sleep Disorder Clinic to be tested for Sleep Apnea. With the CPAP Machine being in the back of our Car that will help save money that she doesn’t have. Kathie had me do a quick repair on her Walker and gave me a couple of other projects to do for her.
Manning Road
Our next stop was Shoppers Drug Mart on Manning Road  in Tecumseh where I needed to get certain Vitamins before next week when I do up our pill Doucettes. Kathy also needed some supplies over in the cosmetics department. Since we collect Optimum Points when shopping there we don’t mind but since every Thursday we get a 20% Seniors Discount on all our purchases when we present our Card it really makes it worthwhile for us to shop there. Some of the Vitamins we purchased today were marked if you bought Two you received an additional 3,000 Reward Points. That will work out to a Five Dollar Savings when we stock up our Vitamins before heading south this Fall.
It was almost 5:00 when we left there so we stopped off at the Michigan Dinner for supper. They have the best Fish and Chips around and every day between 3:00 and 6:00 we can save money by eating off their Senior’s Menu. Senior Sized Portions leave you satisfied not stuffed.
Banwell Road
Since many people know about the deals at Shoppers Drug Mart on Thursdays they had already been out of stock on a few things we needed. We headed to another Shoppers Drug Mart near Banwell Road where I found another of the Vitamins we needed at our Seniors Discount.
Still looking for Vitamin B6 we drove to yet another Shoppers Drug Mart at the Tecumseh Mall. We walked out empty handed.
Tecumseh Mall
We heard that the Gasoline Prices are supposed to go up so we stopped at the Pioneer gas station on Manning Road where we topped off our tank at $1.109 a Liter which is around $4.20 a US Gallon.
Essex Location
We headed to the Shoppers Drug Mart in Essex where they had the last Two Bottles of Vitamins we needed and Kathy finally found the Eyebrow Pencil she was looking for. Of course everything was given the 20% Seniors Discount.
We then headed over to our daughter-in-law Jen’s house. It’s been a couple weeks since we’ve seen her and the boys. Since the outside temperature only reached 63 F (17 C) this afternoon we enjoyed a warm cup of Tea while we talked. It’s always nice but like most young families they are busy. It was after 8:00 by the time we said our good byes but we’ll see them again before the end of the month.
The Rain had been an all day drizzle at the Park and it showed. Tomorrow we’ll do what we can. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
