Errands, Pill Shortage and Making A History.

Even though we didn’t set the Alarm last night we still managed to be awake by 8:00 this morning. That gave us just enough time to have breakfast, get dressed and nearly run out the door.

We were headed to Windsor for Kathy to get her Shingles Vaccination at her Doctor’s Office. We managed to get there a little early so within a few minutes she was called. Being that’s all she was there for we were soon on our way.

Out next stop was Guardian Storage where we first went to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. Last night our daughter Karen had called to borrow the Clothing Rack we had set up in her basement while we stayed there in April. She needed to borrow it for the Yard Sale she is having tomorrow. Knowing exactly where it had been put we were there less then Five Minutes. On the way out, we stopped to pick up our Mail.

We headed over to Karen’s in Tecumseh where Kathy quickly put Price Stickers on everything we were hoping to sell while I assembled the Clothing Rack. When we went to leave the Garage Door Opener/Closer wouldn’t take the Code, so we had to Close it from the inside switch then go through the House to leave. When Sanford saw us, he thought that we were there to visit. Talk about a Sad Puppy when we headed out the door.

We headed to the Credit Union to pick up some Change for tomorrow’s Yard Sale. When we walked in we saw our Customer Service Representative Ashley and she was finally able to explain where we were having problems with our On-Line Banking. We got an assortment of change to use tomorrow and whatever we don’t use will simply go into our Laundry Money Jar.

Just up the road we stopped at Rose City Ford where we made an appointment to get the latch on the rear passenger door fixed. Last Monday our granddaughter Ashley had to be let out by using the outside door handle because the inside one was not working.

While we were having our Value Menu Lunch at Wendy’s I remembered that there were Vitamins that had to be picked up and the closest drug store was at the Devonshire Mall. It has been just over a month since we have been to the Mall but have things ever changed. After picking up the Vitamins we walked around looking at everything. Where the Food Court used to be there is a wall to the ceiling where New Stores will soon be opening. The New Food Court has a few more choices of places to eat.

After driving through a Lite Shower it was close to 2:00 when we got Home and I had to get busy. As I’ve mentioned before after having been shortchanged on some of our Medications from our former drug store, I painstakingly count every tablet using a special Spatula. Everything was going well until I reached One Medication. I counted it Three Times then separated the Tablets in groups of Ten. I was soon on the phone to the Drug Store. Using the RX Number Steve was able to tell it was their New Assistant. He apologized and offered to have the shortage delivered but it can wait until we are back in Amherstburg.
Vegetable Medley and Black Cherry Shortcake.
For supper Kathy made what she called a Vegetable Medley which consisted of any Vegetable that needed to be used before it went bad. The next time she makes it there could be different Vegetables in it. She also made Black Cherry Shortcake for dessert again using the Cherries before they spoiled. It all tasted great and it didn’t go to waste which is the same as throwing your money in the trash.

After supper I filled our Pill Doucettes for the next Forty-Five Days. I then had to record all that into the Spreadsheet that I keep track of our Medications so we don’t run out when we are traveling.

I spent additional time creating a Medical History for myself. That is something we never think of before we have an Emergency but if you need to go to a Clinic, a Hospital, a Specialist or have procedures like Cataract Surgery they want to know. Having done that for Kathy it was a simple thing for myself.

We have to set the Alarm tonight so I’ll explain tomorrow. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are the fool than to open it and remove all doubt.
