Christmas Gifts All Wrapped Up.

Our Location today is at McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

We were up by 8:00 this morning having breakfast but didn’t get off the Computers until nearly 9:30. Once the bed was made and we were ready to complete our chore it was time to haul the completed Gift Bags onto the bed. This would give us a Safe Place to store these Christmas Gifts and give us room to wrap the remaining Gifts on the Kitchen Counter.

Just like yesterday Kathy would figure out what items were going to who, and I was wrapping them on the Counter, then she would put them into the appropriate Gift Bags. We also had to transfer items from the Smaller Bags to larger ones in order to make it one Gift Bag to a recipient fit.

By lunch time we were starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel but we were also seeing another problem. When we purchased the Larger Gift Bags yesterday Kathy was certain that Six would be enough. If it wasn’t for the way things are packaged we would have gotten away with Smaller Gift Bags but before we knew it we were going to need more of the Larger Bags.

With only a few more Gifts to wrap we headed out the door around 5:00. The Humidex was only 88 F (31 C) today and it felt comfortable but we had still been sweating with the Air Conditioning running inside.

By 5:30 we were back at Dollarama in Amherstburg to get more of the Larger Gift Bags. They had lots there yesterday when we left but there were only a few there today. Someone else likes to use the Larger Gift Bags as well.

We made a quick stop at McDonalds for supper. By having their Fruit Smoothies rather then a pop our meal cost as much as going to a restaurant.

It was near 6:30 when we arrived Home. It took over an Hour to finish wrapping the last few items and transferring things to the Three Gift Bags we had just purchased. We nearly cheered when the last thing was put in the Bags.
All our Merry Thanksmas Gifts wrapped on our bed.
Tomorrow things will be brought to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit so that we can have our Home back. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  4. Heck, I cheered when you were finished. I always hated wrapping gifts. When the kids were little, I actually used to wrap their gifts in the funny papers or even newspaper to save money so I could buy more gifts. I'm sure glad I don't do wrapping any more, but I see some smiles in your future as you hand out your carefully selected and wrapped perfect gift for each person. Very rewarding.
