We would like to thank everyone for their Anniversary Wishes on our very special day. Even though it was extremely Hot yesterday we enjoyed just being together and spent a lot of time outside dealing with the Cars. Combine all that and we both slept like a couple of rocks.

By 9:00 this morning the Humidex was already 102 F (39 C) so after completing our morning reading on the Computers we busied ourselves getting some inside chores completed. With the entire Transient Area filled there was no way I was going to attempt to do any laundry today but that didn’t mean that I couldn’t get ready for it. I changed the bed linens to the new Bamboo Sheets we recently purchased. Just handling them while I made the bed told me they will be extremely comfortable.

After getting the second set of Eyedrops in Kathy’s eyes this afternoon, I walked down to the Trash and Recycle Area before starting to work on our new Car. It did take longer than I expected because most of the Seasonal Campers and Transients were outside celebrating Canada Day. With all the people we know they all wanted to ask how Kathy’s eyes were doing. Even after that short time outside walking in the Sun I needed to cool down before going outside again.

Yesterday on our way Home with our New 2015 Car we picked up so accessories at Canadian Tire. This afternoon I installed the Ergonomic Steering Wheel Cover, the Seat Covers and the Floor Mats to protect the carpeting from dirty shoes. We’d also purchased a small Waste Basket but it is too large for the back seat.

With that completed and another brief cool down inside I installed the Pizza Stone on our Weber and fired it up. With a Humidex of 113 F (45 C) it didn’t take long for it to warm up as a fact our Store-Bought Pizza was cooked to perfection in Twenty Minutes. Still trying to eat lighter we only ate half and saved the other for tomorrow’s lunch.

We enjoyed another Walmart movie this evening but were starting to feel closed in. Even with the warm breeze under the Gazebo it felt better inside so we went for a drive to Essex. If you recall in yesterday’s Blog that this vehicle has a lot of New Electronic Changes that we are unfamiliar with. One of those is the installation of the Wiper Control Switch to the right of the Steering Column. As we were leaving I accidently touched it and the Wipers started going and there wasn’t a Cloud in the Sky. I thought I shut it off only to look in the Rear-View Mirror to see the Rear Wiper going. We had to pull over until we could figure out how to shut them off. It resembled something in a Comedy Show.

We stopped at McDonalds to have an Ice Cream Cone to help us cool down. We then drove around the town and taking a different backroad that we were unfamiliar with started heading west. We actually drove through a small settlement that we’ve both heard about but didn’t realize it was so close.

We don’t mind the warmth but this high heat can settle down anytime soon. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. It's good you have a nice cool car to drive around in. We have probably ALL turned on the wipers and not known how to turn them off. It's the rear one I can never find the switch for!!
