Fixing Our Accounts and Enjoying Lots Of Visits.

Our Location today is at McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

Even though we only had One official appointment scheduled today we had more then our share to deal with. We were out the door shortly after 9:00 this morning heading towards Windsor trying to get a couple of things accomplished before 11:00. Since we had to drive by anyway we made our first stop at Guardian Storage to simply pick up our Mail

Since our Credit Union did a major rework of their 20+ Year Old Computerized Banking System our financial world was turned into a Nightmare. Having talked to Ashley yesterday we were told to bring our information in and she would help us get it straightened out. She first listened to our Issues before bringing our Accounts up to view. She was able to get most of it straightened on her own including my Debit Card that would not work. There was One Issue that had to be sent up to the I.T. People. The reason for that was we were the first of any of the clients to notice a lost service and surely would not be the last, so the I.T. People could start checking why that didn’t carry over. Kathy was very vocal about their bad timing for the Change-Over at the beginning of the month when she makes all our necessary payments On-Line. Ashley told her if she has any further problems to simply call her or go back in.

We arrived at Fantastic Sams with a minute to spare for our 11:00 hair cutting appointments. Jenna took care of Kathy’s hair first, finally getting it back to the way Kathy found it manageable last fall. While we were away this past winter one hairdresser had totally butchered it. When it came time for me she had no problems cutting it the way I find comfortable but I had questions to ask. I’ve recently been experiencing Scalp Itch no matter how often I shampooed. During my working career due to the environment I worked in it was necessary to shampoo daily. Now the same Shampoos are the cause of my problem by building up on the Hair and Scalp. I’ll need to use a Clarifier to keep my hair healthy.
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
It was past noon as we were leaving so we stopped at the Hi-Ho on Howard for lunch. Like many other Restaurants and Fast Food Chains they are now serving Breakfast all day so that’s what we had for lunch.
Named after the Song the Seven Dwarfs always sang.
It was past 1:00 when we were getting ready to leave when we realized we haven’t had the chance to visit our daughter Rose since we got back in town for Easter. After a quick call to verify that she would be home we headed over. The adults enjoyed a nice visit until D.J. got home from school. He’s really grown since last fall but he will become a Teenager this summer. He was giving Rose a hard time about going to the Dentist for a Checkup so Kathy had a talk with him and made him realize it was to his benefit.

It was past 4:00 when we arrived at the Zehrs Superstore on Walker Road. We had our list and it didn’t take long for our Shopping Cart to be quite full which meant that our Debit Card lost a lot of weight.

Even with all those groceries in the Car we needed to eat because our day was far from over so we drove across the street where Burger King was having their Whopper Wednesday special of Two Meals for $9.00. We ate inside rather then having a mess in the Car. As we were about to leave the parking lot at 5:20 Kathy called Melissa to say we’d be a little late.

When we got Home we brought all our groceries in but only put away the Freezer and Fridge items. The rest could wait until we got back later in the evening.

We arrived at our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa’s house in Amherstburg by 6:10 for our weekly visit. As we were about to go in the house our good friends Gerry and Sandy pulled up for a brief visit. They had just gone grocery shopping as well and were on their way home when they spotted our Truck turning the corner. We’ll be getting together a few more times before we head south this fall.

We had our usual Fun-Filled Visit with Kevin and Melissa learning what the boys are learning in High School. Melissa’s parents sold their house and are now in the process of a major Downsizing. I’ll need to use the Table-Saw soon before Cameron is home for the summer because of his Sensitive Hearing. Melissa gave me an early Father’s Day Card calling me a Mr. Fixit. Kevin is very happy with the Spreadsheet I set up on his Laptop last week now Melissa wants one to keep track of the Family Expenditures on her Laptop. I don’t mind a bit. With our groceries still needing to be put away we left around 8:15 to head for Home.

We had just backed in to our site when we met our new neighbours Bill and Liz. They purchased Hugh’s Trailer wanting to give RVing a shot. They are very green knowing how the Fridge works along with a few other things. Kathy was teaching Liz a lot about her Trailer and even gave her a tour of our Home. (Pardon the groceries still on the counter.) Bill was really interested in learning about the Solar and neither of them could believe how much it cost to stay in the L.T.V.A.s. (Just our little secret.) We’ll see them tomorrow evening for our first Campfire of the season.

It was after 10:00 by the time we put away all the groceries. We’ve got chores to do and more places to be this week along with Hot Summer Temperatures for this weekend. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
