With a slightly cooler day forecasted we weren’t really in any hurry to rush out to the Park to get just a few things done so we had planned on getting a few things closer to Home completed. That also meant that I was able to let Kathy sleep in slightly. When she has even a single restless night it will take her nearly a week to recover. By the time I had read all the morning Blogs that we follow it was time to turn on the lights.

Having cereal this morning Kathy added the Blackberries she’d gotten the other day. Sanford was trying to talk to us by making different moaning sounds. If only we could understand what he is saying, we are sure it would be something of interest.

After calling the Local Hall and getting information that I needed. My next call was to wish my Uncle a Happy Birthday but I was only able to connect to his Voice Mail.

It’s been a week so while I was sorting the Laundry Kathy was busy changing things to her new Purse. That meant having to leave some things behind which she claims someone will need within the next day or so but her Doctor will appreciate that she is carrying a lighter Purse.

We had just said good bye to a sad looking Sanford and loaded everything in the Car when I realized that we had forgotten Coupons that we had gotten in the Mail downstairs. Sanford was more then happy to see me back in the house but when I came back upstairs he was sitting tight against the Front Door so I couldn’t leave. After a few extra scratches behind the ears and telling him we’d be back soon he finally moved out of the way.

Our first stop was Taco Bell where we saved 30% on our lunch by using the Coupons.

We stopped at the Credit Union to get a little Pocket Money. We can use our Bank Cards pretty well everywhere but if the Computers or Power are not working then Cash is needed.

We made a quick stop at Walmart to pick up an inexpensive but sturdy Flower Pot for a Plant we have at the Park.

We arrived at the Lauzon Road Laundromat by 12:30 and even though the place was packed we were able to get enough machines to get everything in the Washers. While we were waiting to transfer things to the Dryers we were entertained by a young Infant who was watching Dora The Explorer on his mother’s Cell Phone. After a while that wore thin and he was having nothing to do with Dora or anyone trying to comfort him he wanted his Mom. Soon his Grandma arrived to care for him while his Mom finished her chore. After working together to fold our Clothes we were ready to leave by 3:00.

We headed over to the Tecumseh Mall so we could do some walking. Our first stop was the Dollarama and it didn’t take more then a couple of steps for me to grab a couple of things. I needed to replace my Potting Shovel that the handle broke off the other day and I also got a replacement Hose Nozzle for Karen so I won’t be taking any more Outdoor Showers. With so much publicity about banning Plastic Straws to protect Wildlife because lots of people litter, Kathy found that they carried Paper Straws similar to those we grew up using.

We walked around for a while before getting a Tim Hortons Ice Cap to refresh ourselves in the Food Court.

After doing more walking we drove over to Guardian Storage to collect our Mail.

Kathy suggested we eat supper out but didn’t want Fast Food twice in one day so I drove over to Li’s on Tecumseh Road. This has got to be one of the smallest Chinese Restaurants in the area but one of the best. We both ordered the same combination plate and after eating our Wanton Soup along with an Eggroll as soon as our meals arrived we divided them in half and took the rest Home for lunch later this week. We still felt satisfied but not stuffed and we got Two Meals for the price of One.

It was 5:45 when we arrived back at Karen’s and since they were already entertaining out on the Deck we managed to watch the 6 o’clock Local News undisturbed without bothering them.

Tomorrow we plan on getting an earlier start and getting things done out at the Park. Thanks for following along, feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. I love Chinese food. Not much available around here. Isn't it nice to get chores done?

  2. Trying to lighten the purse is a great idea. Going to work on mine today. I don't want to carry a heavy purse to Europe with em.

  3. No matter how hard I try to lighten my purse it just doesn't happen.
