We had planned on getting up earlier this morning because Karen had said that someone she knew would be stopping over around 9:30 for a package. We could not have imagined that we would both sleep past 9:00. It had to have been that we were finally starting to relax after all the Stress we’ve had the last week. By 9:30 we were dressed and having breakfast but we still just didn’t feel like our energetic selves.

Finally, at noon we needed to run an errand to Shoppers Drug Mart but Karen’s Friend hadn’t arrived yet so after leaving a note we headed out. Within Fifteen Minutes we were back at Karen’s and found the note undisturbed.

With the bright sunshine streaming in the windows and a comfortable feel to the air we went to one of the local department stores to walk around for exercise and a change of scenery.

It was 2:45 when we headed over to pick up Tyler from his Co-op School Training. What we didn’t expect was a delay in traffic. When we finally arrived at 3:00 to pick Tyler up he said he called but my Cell Phone didn’t ring. We were back at Karen’s by 3:10 and her Friend had not disturbed the note.

After dropping Tyler off for his Part-Time After School Job we headed back to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit at Guardian Storage. When we went Fulltime in 2016 we stored things we would need if we ever came off the road such as the Mattress we are presently using at our Daughter’s. Another thing we stored was Clothes and even though we just packaged some of the Clothes we had in the Trailer there was some that was wearing out and needed to be replaced. The first place we shop is in the Clothes and other Items we have stored.

When we left the Storage Unit we went to see our dear friend Kathie who I’ve know for Forty Years and Kathy the last Twenty. We haven’t seen her since last October just before we headed south for the winter. We found her in her apartment babysitting her granddaughter Kingsley who has really grown. We got caught up on what is happening and finally said our Good Byes but we’ll be back soon.

It was past 5:30 when we left so we thought we’d just get a Hamburger at Burger King. We wanted something different and saw one with Bacon so we ordered that. What we didn’t read was that it was a Double Beef Bacon Cheese Burger. We both ended up wasting some of our meals. Since we have reduced our intake there was no way we could eat them.
January 30th in Quartzsite.
We seemed like we were Dragging by the time we got back to Karen’s but I kept reminding myself we have to take our Evening Pills. When I looked at our Pill Doucettes I found that we had missed taking them last evening which was why we were Dragging this morning but we also missed taking them this morning because we were rushing not to miss Karen’s Friend. I also found my Cell Phone sitting on the Printer. No wonder I missed Tyler’s call.

Karen’s Friend had an issue with her son at school so she texted Karen this morning to say she’ll be around tomorrow but Karen didn’t call us. Hopefully we’ll be more focused as well. Thanks for following along, feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. Isn't it nice to just relax? At least the rig repair isn't sitting on your shoulders any more! Sleep well!!

  2. hopefully now that you've remembered your pills you'll get some energy back. Again, after all you've been through it's no wonder you'd be beat! Take care of yourselves! Time to enjoy!

  3. It's always nice to 'visit' with your stuff in storage. It's like Christmas to open the boxes to see whats in them! We're in the midst of doing that as well. I'm sure a lot of stuff will be given away or just disposed.
