Mess Fixed, Cold Packing and Lending A Hand.

It seems to be a struggle each night to keep our eyes open until it’s time to go to bed but like we mentioned in yesterday’s Blog, it is probably due to all the Fresh Air we get while working at the Trailer.

We were up shortly after 8:00 and could only hear one person walking around upstairs. By the time we were dressed the only other one in the house was Sanford. The way he acts you’d swear he was a human trapped in a dog’s body.

As we worked at getting breakfast ready we watched as Snow started to cover the Deck outside the Patio Doors. As we sat having breakfast Kathy mentioned that she couldn’t stand her hair anymore and really needed to get it cut.
Sanford making certain Kathy doesn't drop any food.
If you recall we had gone to a Hairdresser in Blythe back in early January for haircuts and she did more talking then paying attention to what she was doing. She cut Chunks of hair from here and there leaving us both with a mess. We found a Mother Hairdresser and Son Barber Shop in Parker at the end of February. The Mother managed to only straighten about 75% the mess on Kathy’s head telling Kathy it would take another cut to properly fix it. The Son got mine fixed by cutting it shorter then I preferred but it worked.

Knowing that Fantastic Sam’s didn’t open until 10:00 we took the time to make Sandwiches and pack a small lunch to bring to the Trailer. We also double checked The Weather Network to see what we could expect today. The temperature was actually dropping closer to the Freezing Mark through the day. At 10:00 exactly we called and Jenna our Hairdresser answered. It was a slow day for her so she said to make it before 11:00 and she’d work us in.

When we arrived at 10:30 Jenna was just finishing another customer so within minutes she was starting with Kathy. Even though the other Hairdresser had made a valiant attempt to straighten Kathy’s hair Jenna found all the mistakes. She spent over a Half an Hour just getting Kathy’s hair back the way she likes it. Mine was more of a trim but it felt good. We already have our next appointment booked.
Cold Front moving in.
We arrived at the Trailer shortly after noon. As soon as we opened the Slides and I turned our Blue Flame Heater on to warm things up Kathy started serving lunch. We had the Sandwich, a Cheese Stick and a Chocolate Pudding Cup for dessert. It was lite but filling.

Kathy started packing up our Linen Closet and Bathroom while I continued cleaning things out from under the Kitchen Counter. We worked steady until after 2:00 when we ran out of Boxes. We loaded the Truck and closed up the Trailer Slides before storing the packed Boxes in the Storage Units.
Taken near our Storage Unit.
We also had to stop at the Guardian Storage Office where we got more Boxes as well as collecting our Mail. We simply put the Boxes inside the Trailer before heading out. Just those few hours of work had us tired out besides we had to pick Tyler up again from his School Co-op.

For supper Kathy made Macaroni and Cheese which we found very satisfying.

Around 7:00 Greg asked if I could give him a hand to get some Bolts in on his Motorcycle. It wasn’t much and even though I’ve worked on a lot of different types of vehicles that was the first Motorcycle.

Tomorrow we’ll try to be back at the Trailer doing more packing but the Temperature is supposed to be above Forty. Even though we have been careful not to Overload the Trailer it amazes us how much Stuff and Food we are actually carrying. Thanks for following along, feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Krackers

Joke of the Day

It used to be only death and taxes were inevitable.

Now of course, there's shipping and handling too.
