Busy Recovery.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

After the disappointment of not being on the road yesterday to spend the weekend with our son Gary and his family somehow I actually had a half decent night’s sleep. We did watch a movie on the television that lasted until midnight but I was up shortly after 8:00 and by the time I’d opened the window blinds in the other rooms Kathy was already in the kitchen. She wanted a change of taste for breakfast and immediately started whipping up a generous batch of pancakes for us to share.

We busied ourselves afterwards with our morning reading on the computers and then doing some online banking. From there we tried to upgrade our computers to the new Windows 10 that we hear everyone raving about. Since we haven’t received notification that our update was available we simply thought that we could find it on the internet, No matter what site we attempted to connect to they only explained the many benefits but none would actually do the download. Finally the logical thing for us to do before getting too frustrated was just to wait until the notice pops up on our screens.

Once the lunch time dishes were washed and out of the way we drove over to the Sears store where the pair of slacks that Kathy had ordered through the catalogue had arrived. There was a lineup of other people doing the same thing today so that added a bit more time than was expected.

Since this is the first of the month we drove from there to the nearby Zehrs Superstore to get our groceries. This was where we used to shop when we still owned our home and often times there were specials on at that store that were not at the other area Zehrs locations. They didn’t disappoint us and Kathy made a point of taking advantage of this week’s specials. Strangely they didn’t have some of the other things that we can find at our Tecumseh location.

For supper Kathy made a wonderful Greek salad to go with the pork chops that I grilled on the Weber. Kathy also cut up a lovely tasting cantaloupe and added frozen yogurt to it for a dessert.

Kathy was on the Weather Network moments ago where they were showing a Tornado Warning for the Niagara Falls/ Welland area just around supper time. That was the area we would have been staying in this weekend. Hopefully there was no damage but we’ll know more by the morning.

At sometime tomorrow we will head over to the trailer to see if we can accomplish some things on our to-do list in preparation for our trip this winter. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
