Dwindling List of Things To Do.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Last night was the first night that I slept with the loaner CPAP mask. There is always an adjustment period and I am hoping that it works but it felt like it was sliding over my mouth occasionally. The idea behind CPAP machines is to pump compressed air into your body when one stops breathing in their sleep. Since I tend to be a mouth breather when the mask slides onto or above my mouth my breathing can and does stop. I woke very refreshed this morning but Kathy said that I’d been talking in my sleep but I have no recall of doing that.

When we got up the pavement all around the building was covered with standing water and the temperature was only in the mid-fifties. I spent the morning on the computer and making lists of things that need to be completed before we hit the road next Thursday. Kathy raided the fridge and created a very tasty Quiche that we partly enjoyed for our lunch. There’s more for another meal or two.

After lunch we took a break from things we were doing at the apartment to go visiting. We went to see our friends Kathie and Ross who we haven’t seen since a few days before Christmas last year. They live in a different apartment building that is owned by the same corporation and they have just had all their kitchen cabinets replaced at no charge to them. We heard more of how Ross has been doing since the adjustment to his Pacemaker. We also heard that their Daughter Christine will soon be moving into the town of Tecumseh in June. Their son Dwayne has finally met someone with similar interests and they are dating now. In other words there was a lot of catching up that took place. After visiting for a couple of hours we said our good-byes with the promise to see them shortly after we get back.

Back at the apartment I got an additional toolbox from the truck and removed all the fasteners from inside. Now if there are any fasteners that I need for a job they will all be in the organized storage containers that I bought back in Fort Myers. Now that the organizing is complete I’ll know exactly where to find the fasteners that I need.

For supper we had recreated leftovers that Kathy found in the fridge. Since we’ll be leaving soon she doesn’t want to leave anything behind that could spoil. The 6 o’clock News showed we’ll have warmer temperatures with rain showers for our area over this Victoria Day long weekend. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

  1. A friend of mine went through a sleep study and was issued a CPAP machine but wouldn't wear it because the mask was uncomfortable. He finally got a different mask and uses the machine now. It's good that you didn't say anything that could get you into trouble when you were talking in your sleep! ;-)
