Another Full Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

After a good night’s sleep I was once again busy exercising before 6:00 and didn’t stop until 8:00 this morning. I no sooner stepped foot in the kitchen when Kathy appeared from the bedroom. Apparently she had been laying there awake for a short while but had just stayed in bed trying to recover some of her lost sleep from the last few days.

We had a chance to watch the Weather Channel while having breakfast but they weren’t even sure about the weather conditions for our area for the evening we plan on heading south. I’ll have to find time to follow the American forecasts for the next week so that I’ll know we won’t be expecting any severe weather conditions on our trip starting in 4 days.

We had about an hour to do our morning blog and E-mail reading before heading out the door. Kathy has already figured all our meals until our departure which allowed for a few fast food meals and she wasn’t in the mood to cook lunch. We used a coupon at A&W before driving over to McDonald’s where we used another coupon and grabbed a couple of coffees to help keep us warm.

Yes we needed to keep warm as we were on our way to the new Belle River Arena to watch Tyler’s hockey team play. This will be our last game we’ll be able to attend before we leave and the game started early at 12:30 today. Both teams were closely matched and everyone was kept on the edge of their seats especially when push led to shove and a couple of penalties for both teams were handed out. In the end Tyler’s team skated away with a 3 to 0 win.

As soon as the game was finished we had to hightail it down the expressway back to Windsor. We had a special visit that had been made for a special person for an early Christmas. We arrived at Kathie and Ross’s apartment only ten minutes later than originally planned. Ever since their grandson Liam was born Kathy and I have been known as his aunt and uncle and we have never missed a birthday or Christmas for this special nephew. Liam is always polite and treats everyone he meets with respect. He was very happy with the gifts we gave him. We also had a chance to visit with Kathie and Ross for about two hours before it was time to say our see you in the spring.

For supper tonight we created a wonderful chicken stir fry that helped to clean some of the food from our fridge and freezer before we head south for the rest of the winter. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
