Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.
I really didn’t like the idea of setting the alarm clock
last night but I didn’t want to be late for my 8:00 appointment this morning. Even
though we fell asleep as fast as our heads hit the pillows because we had been
up late the night before I still was laying in bed wide awake before 5:00 this
morning. It’s the same thing I go through on a pretravel night as well. Trying
to fall back to sleep hard as I might I finally just got up shortly after 6:00.
After having breakfast by myself (not something Kathy nor I like
to do) I was out the door shortly after 7:00 and sitting in front of the bay
door of Windsor Spring and Alignment waiting for the manager to arrive to open
the shop for the day. I even enjoyed a second cup of coffee on them while
waiting for the technician to reset the toe-in on the truck. The best part was
that I was back at the apartment shortly after 9:00 and it didn’t cost and arm
or a leg.
Kathy was up and looking disgruntled that she had also had
to eat breakfast by herself this morning. We headed to the computers to get
caught up on the RV Bloggers we follow. As lunch approached we once again got
caught up in watching another Christmas Special that we hadn’t seen before so
we started watching it from the dining room table before moving to the living
room to finish watching it.
I thought of something else that I needed to look up online
so Kathy decided to do the same. Like many other RV bloggers we use a Verizon
MiFi hotspot for our computers but unlike most Canadian Snowbirds with the same
system we are continually having problems with them. In the past we’ve had
problems with accessing our account to them shutting us down and even not accepting
our payments on our accounts. Today Kathy found that they had managed to throw
a hundred dollar charge on our account for no reason. For the next seventy-five
minutes I was on the phone with numerous managers getting that mess
straightened around again. They try to convince you to go online and to handle
the problem yourself but their system is very User Unfriendly. Makes you wish
you could reach through the phone and touch someone at the other end and not in
a polite way.
After supper and the 6 o’clock news we went over to our
daughter Karen’s for a delayed weekly visit. Both Greg and Kylla were at work
while Karen was trying to instruct Tyler through the art of adding lights to
the Christmas tree. What really set it off was when the song the Twelve Pains
of Christmas started playing on the radio. It left us all laughing at the
difficulties many people have getting ready for the holiday season. We had an
enjoyable visit remembering tales of Christmases Past that we’d personally
experienced.
Tomorrow we will make more progress on our to-do list. Thanks
for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

We totally understand the unfriendly service. They always tell us we are a valued customer until we till them they charged us too much. Strange how that works.
ReplyDeleteYou sure don't have good luck with Verizon. In almost three years we have never needed to contact them. We just prepay a month with a top up card and it just works.
