What Friends Are For.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Even though Kathy and I didn’t do much physically yesterday that 350 miles we drove took its toll on us. By the time I posted the blog just after 11:30 I don’t think that I counted to ten before falling off to sleep. We both slept solid until after 8:00 this morning. It felt strange that we weren’t rushing off this morning.

Once breakfast was complete we headed for the computers where I had two days of reading to get caught up on. After Kathy had done her morning reading she went to Facebook and started reading the relatives and close friends she writes to. She came across a comment from Ross saying that it was good to have friends that would always be willing to lend a hand when someone is in need.

I truly appreciated that comment but I remember many years ago when Kathie and Ross would drop in to visit when I would be working on my vehicles. Without my asking Ross would roll up his sleeves and start helping fix my problems. Years later when Kathy had a virus problem with her computer Ross was right there to try and help us out. Let’s just say I have many more favors to repay but as the saying goes “Isn’t that what friends are for?”

I went outside for a few minutes to shut the fuel valve I had opened yesterday. The way our system is set up the large valve is for a quick transfer of fuel and the small valve is for a slower transfer. Once I was below ¼ tank yesterday I had opened the smaller valve. When I went out to shut it this morning the main tank was full.

For lunch Kathy and I enjoyed a hearty bowl of ham and pea soup that we had worked together the other day to make. The weather had forecasted rain all day so I managed to get caught up on one of my spreadsheets that I maintain. I also managed to make myself an extensive list of things that I need to make, do or have done all before we head south this winter.

For supper we used a coupon that came in the mail today and each enjoyed a three piece chicken dinner from KFC. The meal itself was tasty even though we don’t eat there often but there pop dispenser had no ice and served warm pop. After eating we drove to the other side of the parking lot to the Sobey’s grocery store where we picked a few more things we needed.

Tomorrow we are expecting visitors as well as being visitors so we’ll let you know how that turns out. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
