Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.
The morning was a slow start for both Kathy and I as we were
both making up for the sleep we didn’t get through the night. Once we had
finished breakfast and settled in at our computers things were starting to come
into focus.
It was shortly after 10:00 when my sister Anna called
thanking us for the birthday wish we’d left on her phone. She had been busy for
almost two weeks helping her daughter’s family getting settled into their new
home. So it was only last night that she got back home to check her messages.
We talked about our trip and my friend Ross’s heart attack. She also told us
about a product that would help remove the odor of the wood stain from the
breadbox once we refinish it.
Shortly after saying good bye to Anna our daughter Karen
called. She and Greg are taking Tyler to visit some friends in Kitchener before
they go up to midland where they’ll stay for a week at a cabin that a friend is
letting them use. She wasn’t sure if Kylla would be home tomorrow or Monday and
she wondered if we could feed Sanford his supper and let him out in the
backyard for a bit. It was nearly 11:00 by the time we got to Karen’s so she
could show us where they keep Sanford’s food and I verified a task that she
asked me to do.
It was nearly 12:00 when we left to go back to the trailer.
When we were there yesterday I had too much on my mind and it wasn’t until
after we’d gotten home that I realized there were a number of things that I’d
forgotten to retrieve. This only took ten minutes to accomplish gathering tools
and supplies that I needed.
By 12:30 Kathy’s head was starting to spin because of her
diabetes so we stopped at Taco Bell where we used a coupon for an inexpensive
well balanced lunch. From there we crossed the road to the east-end Home Depot
to check what materials they carry so that I’ll soon be able to start making
our next project for the trailer. I was very disappointed and know that I will
go to the central location on Walker road because they carry a much greater
selection.
Our next stop was at Walmart where today the first thing we
did was to get the Odor Sponge that my sister Anna had advised us about. With that
completed we took the time to look around the store which helped us to get some
exercise in a cool Air Conditioned environment. We also managed to cross a few
more gifts off of our Christmas list for this
year. With only a 138 shopping days left for the
big event we don’t want to start feeling stressed. Last year Kathy had finished
wrapping the last of those special gifts on August 4th so we are
really slow this year.
After unpacking everything at the apartment we sat down to
talk for a short while and both ended up having Snaps. For supper I grilled
pork chops on the Weber while Kathy made a wonderful macaroni and cheese dish.
Tomorrow I’ve got to start getting things accomplished
because it’s only 147 days left before we meet our friends Elaine and Rick in
Moore Haven Florida. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a
comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
