After a slight delay, I was back to starting my night in my Recliner before later going to Bed. It is sometimes unbelievable how easy it is to sleep while other times, it is a struggle.
I was up early enough to clean up the Kitchen, that had been overlooked, before Kathy joined me. With the temperatures dropping, it was only fitting to make Hot Chocolate to go with our morning snack.
As soon as I had finished my morning Blog reading and corresponding to our friends Wayne and Sue, who are presently in Quartzsite, I had some research to do.
When someone tells me I did something that I know I didn't, I will find the proof to prove them wrong. I reviewed an entire year of records and had everything I needed, but as we sat eating our lunch, Kathy said maybe it was the year before. Another hour later, the evidence proved what I needed and I had scribbled down my proof. Unfortunately, Scribbling is not always the best way to present a case, so I created a Spreadsheet that will be undisputable.
We needed to get out and do some walking. Luckily, when we left the Wind was being blocked by the building, so we didn't freeze from the Vortex created between our building and the next.
Passing
by the Tecumseh
Mall
and the Walmart,
the parking lots were full, and Cars
were at a crawl to move around. Though there were quite a few cars at
Canadian
Tire
it was not as bad. Most people there
were
trying to get last minute Christmas
Shopping,
started or finished, while we just wanted to walk. Our Gifts
to one another have been wrapped and under our tree since it has been
up. We checked out newer decorations that we would not have used in
our Outdoor
Display
when we owned our house. Kathy was even impressed that I didn't even
wander towards the Tool
Department.
As we were about to head for home, Kathy got a little confused when I started driving in the opposite direction. We went to the Michigan Diner across from the Mall. It has been quite some time since we were last here. Between 3:00 and 6:00 they have a Seniors Menu that we can order from at lower cost and more senior sized portions. We were also surprised when we ordered the Halibut with Sweet Potato Fries, we were given the option of Grilled or Deep Fried. We enjoyed our Grilled Halibut, satisfying us without weighing us down.
Heading towards home we made another stop at the nearby Dollarama, to pick up some Chocolate Pudding Cups. Yes, we were just there yesterday, but forgetting to get all the articles we need, gives us an excuse to get out again. We didn't leave empty handed.
We carried the bags by hand and when we got to our Apartment, we both needed a rest before unpacking, when Kathy could not find her Insulated Water Jug, she went back to the Car and came back empty handed. Sometimes we don't see things in front of us, so I went to check out the Car. We were certain that it was lost. We also know that heavy articles sink while light rises to the top. As I started emptying our shopping bags, there at the bottom of one bag lay Kathy's Insulated Water Jug.
We've been around for a while, but that doesn't mean that we've seen it all. I had never seen more than a Five-Minute commercial clip of "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation". The kids are always laughing about it, every time we get together for our Family Christmas Celebration. Now I know why. Even Kathy got a few laughs in.
We are busy again tomorrow.

Krackers
I was just reminiscing about the beautiful herb garden I had when I was growing up. Good thymes.
