Recall and Delivery.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

It’s bad enough that we are having trouble sleeping at night, but when we have to use the Alarm to get up early, that just makes it feel worse. Though the temperature was low, the pavement appeared dry from the Balcony Door, unlike the forecast. A quick snack and we were out the door by 8:30.

Our appointment was at Rose City Ford to have an Oil Change along with a Recall. That surprises me that they still do that for a 2015. They must figure we’ll trade it in, but it had very low mileage when we bought it and we haven’t put that many miles on it since. Though there were comfortable chairs in the Customer Lounge, they would have caused me a problem, getting back on my feet. Luckily there were a couple of Desk Chairs for customers that might be on the clock while getting service. Though it was easier to stand from, it was not the most comfortable for my Hip/Leg.

Forty-Five Minutes later we were on our way to McDonald’s to take advantage of their Breakfast Deal. We had the chance to people watch while again sitting on the hard easy to clean seats, that I struggled a bit more to stand from.

Kathy needed to walk and I needed a few supplies, so we stopped at Walmart. I always drop her off so she can start walking at a faster speed than I can accomplish at this time. She takes a Shopping Cart to do this and I use another as a Wheeled Walker. I’d barely made it half way through the grocery section when the Hip/Leg Pain almost made me fall a few times. The uncomfortable chairs were a direct cause of the problem. When Kathy saw the look on my face, she immediately joined me at the Cashiers.

A quick stop at Shoppers Drug Mart didn’t take long and we were in the Apartment before noon.

We barely sat down when Tony from Guaranteed Fine Furniture called to say our New Recliners were in and they could deliver them this afternoon. He said Two to Three Hours. By that time there was a Downpour outside and he called at 4:00 to say he was delayed due to Traffic Accidents, but would be here soon.

Our late breakfast kept us sated until after 4:30, when we each ate a small bowl of Italian Pasta Salad. As we were eating Tony called to say he had just turned into the parking lot and was headed for the back door.

We both went down to meet him. He was struggling to get close to the door, because some Contractor had unhooked and left his Trailer parked in the loading area. Mike called the Contractor, but we guided the truck in place.

I had already removed the backs off our old Recliner Sofa, so Tony and Wayne were able to move it before setting up our New Recliners. Unfortunately, they did not take the old one away and the Donation Center might not get here until next week. At least we can sit in comfort and I can easily stand.

We’ve got more appointments tomorrow.
