Again, the Nighttime Mickey was unsuccessfully bolstered last night, but now, it is not only the Hip/Leg Pain that is keeping me awake, but also an Abdominal Pain that I recognize from more than a decade ago, as a Hernia. Due to changes to our Health Care System, I was able to book an Ultra-Sound yesterday, but the earliest opening is not until early June.
We were both dragging when we got up this morning. As we were having breakfast we got a Reminder Call for tomorrow’s appointment. That changed what we had Planned for today.
We did have the Leftover Sandwiches that we brought home from Burger King yesterday, for our lunch.
While Kathy busied herself reorganizing things and cleaning, I was taking care of our Laundry. Luckily, I had the entire Laundry Room to myself, but with the late start it was past 5:00 before we were putting our folded clothes away.
We watched the 6 o’clock Local News in its entirety before heading out the door. Our temperature was a sunny 77 F (25 C) with a slight breeze.
Today was McHappy Day at the McDonald’s outlets. For every Big Mac sold today, a portion of that will go to the local Ronald McDonald House, where out of town parents, of children that are hospitalized, can stay at no charge.
It was past 8:00 when we were walking back to the Car and the Wind had suddenly picked up. I dropped Kathy at the front entrance of our building to keep her safe, only to be nearly blown over myself as I headed for the door.
Hopefully we’ll be back home tomorrow, before the forecasted Rain starts.

You work on your car when thar's nothing wrong with it.
June will be here before you know it. Too soon!!
ReplyDeleteHope you don't have to wait as long for hernia repair as you are for your hip. :(
ReplyDeleteThat wind yesterday was something else, wasn't it. However the warm temps sure were great and it felt like summer. Short lived though :-(
