Since
we had quite a bit of Rain last night it put us both to sleep
early. Then I was awake shortly after 5:00 so I took a few minutes to
just lay in bed before starting my morning. Even then I was able to
take my time having breakfast before heading out the door early.
Since Kathy had packed up the Garbage I drove over to
the Park Trash and Recycle Area.
Once everything was in the appropriate containers it was time to head
out the Gate at my normal time.
Being
the first to arrive at Work every morning is getting to be old
news but I would rather be early then late. Some of the parts that I
had been waiting for since the beginning of the week had mysteriously
shown up on my Workbench during the night while others it was
like pulling teeth to get before the end of the shift. Even as the
end of the day was approaching the Owner was still making
changes.
With
the outside Humidex sitting at
104 F (40
C) and with the area I work in near the Laser Cutters
being about Thirty Degrees warmer I was fighting a losing
battle to stay Hydrated. Some of my coworkers seeing that I
was struggling to do the mountain of things for the Project being
more in their field would walk away with the pieces and return them
minutes later ready for me to install. The end of the shift was a
Half Hour gone before I closed up for the night with the
Second Aluminium Project completed and ready for delivery.
The
sky was completely full of Clouds by the time I left the
parking lot and it was getting darker the closer I got to Home.
When I passed through the Gate at the Park
Lightning was starting to fill the sky. Kathy was outside
watching the storm having just gotten Home herself after a day
of running errands.

We
were no sooner inside the Trailer when the Rain started
and the Wind was blowing well above the Fifty MPH. We
scrambled to shut all the Vents and Windows. Leaves
were being torn from the Trees and our Patio Furniture
was being blown over. The storm also knocked out the Power
in the Park which meant we
had no Internet.
Even
though I needed a shower the driving Rain lulled the both of
us into having a Snap. It may have only been Ten Minutes
but we both felt refreshed. It was nearly 6:00 before I started my
shower and nearly 6:30 by the time I was done shaving. With last
night’s Rain and what we had this afternoon there was Three
and a Quarter Inches of Rain in the Gauge. No need
to water the grass.
Nice presentation. |
We
were both hungry but too tired to cook so
we
drove up to the 19
TH Hole Restaurant to
have supper. When we walked in they were just getting their Power
back on. We
both had been Dehydrated
through
the afternoon so we both ended
up downing

with our Perch
Dinners.
It wasn’t until after we got Home
that we started to feel like our old selves again.

It's weird to me that the owners keep changing the design of whatever you are working on. Seems to me that would continue to cost them more.
ReplyDeleteStay dry!!!
