Getting Organized, 118 and A Wonderful Supper.

Our Location today is at Wildwood Golf and RV Park, McGregor, Ontario.

Even though it was another day off work for me I was downstairs before 7:00. I got to witness the Golf Course Cutting Crew keeping the greens so well manicured. First I saw the first Red Mower cutting the grass all around the putting greens. Next the Green Mower came along to do the greens themselves. He actually was down on his hands and knees to inspect his handiwork. Then a big Orange Mower was going along cutting all the Fairways and the surrounding areas.
I managed to get most of my morning reading finished before Kathy would join me just after 8:00. It was comfortable enough Temperature Wise that the Golfers were back to wearing Short Sleeved Shirts and Shorts.

After having Peaches as breakfast we returned to the Computers with our morning Coffee/Tea. That gave me the chance to do more Data Entries into our Expenditure Spreadsheet. I was truly surprised how long it actually takes to do this. After an Hour I had barely gotten Forty Receipts recorded so it will get done a little at a time.

By 10:30 I was outside rearranging the Toolboxes that are in the Basement so that I can take one to Work to have a place to store my Personal Tools. One of the reasons this had to be done this morning was that our Forecast was calling for Rain this afternoon.

Just as I got back inside we got a call from our daughter Karen. It’s been a few weeks since we’ve had a visit so she invited us over for supper.

Feeling a little stiff I walked over to the Park Exercise Room where I managed to work a number of Kinks out. I also noted that another pound had been lost bringing the total to 16. It may not sound like much but I know about hitting Weight Plateaus. Another thing is that I’m not really working out very much but have simply cut my Intake down.
Back Home we had Chicken Noodle Soup for lunch along with a Pear and Yogurt Cup for dessert. We worked together to do the dishes. Then Kathy needed to have her hair washed but her Hand was throbbing today. She leaned over the counter while I shampooed and conditioned her Hair for her. She said it felt Wonderful. By that time it was my turn for a Shower and Shave.
We were on our way out the door by 2:30 heading for Windsor and the Canadian Blood Services in the old Red Cross building. After getting Home after my last donation I realized that my next Appointment Date was Labour Day. I E-mailed them thinking they had made a mistake but they replied assuring me they would be open. It was funny to see some Preschool Aged Children going with Mom or Dad while they donated a Life Saving Gift. This was my 118th Blood Donation.

We arrived at Karen’s house around 4:00 and went for a short ride with her in her newer Car. Being newer then our Car it has a lot more Bells and Whistles to it. By the time we got back to her house we sat under the Gazebo and enjoyed the fresh air. Greg had just returned from visiting his Father. Kylla also joined us for supper but soon went to bed due to her working Two Jobs. The only one missing was Tyler who was helping a buddy work on his car. Sanford was our biggest fan making certain to show us the latest toy that we had given him.
The Lasagna was done to perfection as was the Garden Salad with Feta Cheese. Karen was upset that I only had Half the Sized Portion that I normally did. Pasta is high in Carbs but as long as we maintain smaller portions our Weight Loss should continue. We took our Coffee/Tea back outside under the Gazebo and continued getting caught up. The Wind started picking up then the Rain came and we were soon scrambling to get back inside.
End of the Storm.
Everyone was in agreement that summer just seemed too short this year. Supper was delicious but the visit was wonderful.

When we left I had to show Kathy where we’ll be meeting tomorrow afternoon. There was a steady Rain until after we got Home. We hope that everyone had a Safe and Enjoyable Labour Day. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
