Hurry Up and Wait.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

We both slept so well we were both awake by 7:30 this morning and feeling refreshed to boot. We had toasted Bagels and coffee for breakfast while we watched the Weather Channel this morning. We were even more surprised when they showed road damage to the town of Mt. Dora in Florida where they had so much rain the last few days the ground literally shifted under the roads. The reason that interested us was because we saw buildings in the background that we had visited this February while we were in the area.
We did finish our coffees while sitting at the computers afterwards but with my appointment for this afternoon we could only do small things until we had an early lunch. By noon we had washed the dishes and were out the door. Before leaving the parking lot we made certain the car windows were only opened a sliver so that if we did receive the rain that was being forecasted later in the day it wouldn’t get in.
The truck was just purring along and both Kathy and I are happy the horn works well because we nearly had one car from our apartment back into us as we were driving for the exit and once we were on the road another car pulls out of a driveway right in front of us. In that case we were lucky the horn and brakes worked and that the passing lane was empty. Being that both those incidents happened within sixty seconds not too bad for getting the adrenaline rushing. It’s bad enough that our truck has been twice backed into while parked and the excuse was they didn’t see it. It must be invisible!
We were at Metropolitan Hospital early for my pre-operation check up but with all kinds of delays it was nearly three hours before everything was straightened away. There has also been a change to a later time for my surgery but I still can’t eat or drink after midnight and since I have Sleep Apnea that want to keep me overnight instead of going as an outpatient procedure. I now have to bring my CPAP machine with me to the hospital.
We made a quick stop at Sears at the Devonshire Mall so Kathy could see if their summer clothes had come in. From there we drove around to the other side of the building closer to the Source so we could pick up a car charger for our cell phones because we never had one and since we both have the same phone we only needed one .
It was now suppertime so we went to Wendy’s and we both ordered a full sized Baja Salad with a pop and a small frosty for dessert. It is hard to believe but we were both feeling very full when we walked out of there.
Since it is Wednesday we were heading for Amherstburg to visit our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa. Fortunately our route takes us right by Sun Parlour Trailers so we had a chance to talk to Rob. Keystone still has not sent the parts for the blowout repairs but we won’t be going anywhere for a bit anyways. I also had a few things that I needed to drop off to store in the basement of the trailer.
Leaving there we stopped at the Walmart in Amherstburg to see if they had the TV tray that was out of stock in Windsor. Luck was on our side as they had the tray and they also had the summer tops Kathy had been looking for elsewhere.
At Kevin’s we found out that his appointment to see the surgeon for his Gallbladder was pushed back from next Wednesday until the second of July. If he can’t make until then he’ll just have to go to Emergency. Melissa didn’t arrive home from work until after 6:30 but we still had a wonderful visit sometimes talking of things that was embarrassing to Kevin.
By the time we left a little rain had fallen but we saw signs that heavier rains had fallen as we got closer to home. The only thing we experienced on the way home was road spray. The forecast for our area says we can see some severe weather through the overnight hours so we’ll just keep our fingers crossed. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Office Jokes, Quotes, and Anecdotes

Posture Pointer Sitting up straight is not the best position for office workers as it can place an unnecessary strain on your back, according to a study by Scottish and Canadian researchers. The best position in which to sit at your desk is leaning back, at about 135 degrees.

  1. That was one busy day! I am glad you found the tv tray and Kathy's tops...We haven't seen a Wal Mart in almost 2 months. I never thought I would say this, but I do miss it!
