I am writing to let you know that Richard's hernia surgery went well. They are keeping him overnight to make sure he is functioning well before sending him home.
When I left him tonight he was in and out of sleep and quite a bit groggy. He was able to eat liquids such as jello, broth and tea for his supper this evening. He was still on IV's. His Doctor will be in tomorrow and we will see if he will let him go home or not. He had not been standing up or sitting up as of this evening. So that may be what they will have him do tomorrow. If he isn't comfortable with doing that they may keep him another night. I hope he will be able to eat a good breakfast in the morning with Richard that is always a good sign.
Will keep you all posted.
I sure hope I can as I have never done this before.
Kathy
