Crafty Fun Day.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

After not getting a chance to get together for nearly six months Kathy and I really enjoyed our visit with our friends Gerry and Sandy Bronstein. The only thing was we totally tried to get caught up in one night which meant we were up later than normal so we slept in this morning. We have to definitely get together more often.
Once we were up this morning our anchors were dragging. We had breakfast and then headed to the computers to do as I said in last night’s post catch up on everyone else’s post.
Homemade gourmet jellies and snacks.
Our meal at Applebee’s was just the right size so we were able to walk away satisfied but not waddling away from eating too much. So all day we were able to keep our meals on the light side in order to truly appreciate them.
After lunch we went to the W.F.C.U. Arena to check out a craft show and bake sale in the Collavino Hall. Even though we spent nearly an hour looking at the unique crafts that these vendors had we did walk out without buying anything. There were plenty of new and old ideas being marketed with the 70 plus vendors that were there; but the idea was just about getting out without doing the same-old, same-old walking around the malls to pass our time. If somebody we know is looking for something special we can direct them to these vendors.
The pictures on the rear screen are all made from Common Nails.

From there we headed to Zehr’s Grocery store for a few supplies we needed.   While in the refrigerated food section I notice a sign with a cutout of a person on it and something had me call it to Kathy’s attention. Suddenly we both realized that the sign was to advertise the products of winners of a food challenge show called Recipes to Riches that we have watched on the Food Channel on occasion. We were surprised at the number of these products.
All this looks good enough to eat or drink but you can't
they are all candles.

By the time we arrived home and put our groceries away Kathy sat down to rest for a bit so she turned on the television.  What should happen to be on but the Food Channel and the show Recipes to Riches was on. We watched it for nearly an hour getting to see this week’s winner and their product. These contestants are not professional chefs but just people with a passion for cooking to the point that they create that very special dish that can become marketable. There is an immediate $25,000 dollar prize plus they are entered for a $250,000 grand prize amongst all the winners.
They look like potted plants but are made with candies.
Christmas is now only 22 days away and Kathy and I managed to watch not one but two Christmas specials tonight. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
