Strange as it may seem Kathy and I were both asleep by eleven-thirty last night. We both had moments we'd wake up only to roll over and fall back to sleep. I finally woke just before eight-thirty and Kathy less then ten minutes later. We figure that because we are completing our research or approaching that point it is becoming less stressful and combined with our sleeplessness it finally has caught up to us and our bodies has finally had the chance to recharge themselves.
While I was doing laundry I picked up the mail and brought it back to the apartment so Kathy could go through it and file what she could. When I returned with the finished laundry Kathy was sitting there almost in shock . We had received a super high phone bill and there was no way it should be that way. After lunch armed with all our past bills I talked to four different people in four different departments each time our bill kept getting reduced until it was where it should have been in the first place.
If you recall at the end of November we had bundled many of our services together. Well in December not everything had been put as one bill and when it finally kicked in as one bill there were double charges for this and that. Part of that bundling had included Satellite Television. About ten minutes after I had finished my call to the phone company an Independent Surveyor calls to ask how we like our new Satellite TV. For the next ten minutes I quoted him what we didn't like about it until he transferred my call to his supervisor who I repeated my complaints too. Well it payed off because now our bill is going to be much less per month.
Now after all that complaining on the phone I had to do it really put me in a mood. My next complaint is to all you fulltimers and snowbirders that are down south enjoying all that beautiful weather and scenery while we are still back here. This morning for breakfast there was light snow and the temperature was above freezing. By lunch time it had gotten warmer and looked like a blizzard outside. By supper time it was raining cats and dogs. Now how can any of you not feel the least bit guilty over enjoying such beautiful weather while many of us are stuck back home putting up with this mess.
It is truly lucky for you that we only have another 28 days until Spring or you'd really see us getting upset. LOL. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Krackers
You might be a Redneck if
You've had a corn dog for breakfast.
Rick, if it's any consolation, I have polled my neighbors here in Mission, Texas and we all wish you better weather.
ReplyDeleteFeel guilty ? Not! You should be down here with us, in 28 days or so we will be back there to the (cold to us) ( warm to you) spring weather. Enjoy and make it warm up soon.
ReplyDeleteWow on the phone calls..re the bill...there is no customer service in this world anymore. Rick and I owned a customer service center and we were in high demand with our clients-why ?? Because we focused on the 'live' voice (no que system for us) and we provided top notch customer service to our Clients "Clients" . You should not have had to talk to 4 different departments to straighten out a bill..how nuts is that...Hey Rick you can't put me on a guilt trip re the down south lol.....to quote you "its about time"...it won't be long now and you folks will be on the road :) take care
ReplyDeleteHave to agree with Elaine it can be frustrating at times with companies customer service departments not being able to resolve issues in one department. Nice to hear they reduced your satellite charges though. Think we all will be jealous when you head out on your summer adventures. Sounds like it's going to be lot's of fun. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteGuilty...Nah! We spent alot of money traveling in order to get away from the winter snow's that never came! Go figure.
