Final Arrangements.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

When I get up early to go to the Gym it starts to wear on me after a while. For me to sleep just a little later the next day just feels good. When I look over at Kathy still sleeping I can normally tell when she’s had a bad night. After getting things ready for a lite breakfast I managed get all my Messaging, Local News and most of the latest Blogs read before she joined me. She was apologetic for being late confirming my suspicions about her having a bad night.

Wet pavement this morning.

The forecast had called for Rain all day but we had a Fifteen Minute Drizzle after breakfast.

With our Coffee/Tea at the Computers we finished our drinks and reading before considering what to have for our late lunch. Chicken Noodle Soup won out hands down with a Baked Apple for dessert.

Passing the Marina.

After spending another Hour on the Computers we were soon heading out the door. The Weather Network showed our temperature felt like 93 F (34 C) around that time. They still were forecasting Rain and Thunderstorms for the entire day but when I checked their Radar it appeared a lot less serious.

We headed to our daughter Karen’s house in Tecumseh. Our son Kevin was also there. We were there for a serious discussion that lots of people don’t want to talk about with their families. Earlier this year Greg’s father passed away and there was a lot of chaos that ensued about his last wishes. To avoid that Kathy and I explained about our Wills, Life Insurances, Estates and Powers Of Attorney in case something happened to the both of us. Especially due to the fact that we have both lost our former mates to Cancer this will make it so our children don’t have to guess what our wishes would be. Karen quickly created a file that she could reference if that time were to come sooner then later.

With Summer being half way done Greg was outside grilling up some Hamburgers and Sausages on his Charcoal Grill. Melissa had created a Taco Salad to go with the Potato Salad that Kevin made to go with the Grilled Veggie Salad that Karen made for Greg to grill. Everything was excellent.

Rain heading our way.

When we saw the Black Clouds starting to fill the sky around 7:00 we said our good-byes and headed for home. Those Clouds gave us a better Rain Shower then the Drizzle did this morning.

Krackers

I still remember what my grandpa said before he kicked the bucket. He said “How far do you think I can kick this bucket?

  1. We did the same final wishes planning with our kids. Yours was a wise decision to avoid the chaos Greg's family experienced.

  2. This is 2nd marriage for both of us. Len has 3 children, I have two. We made wills and they each have a copy. I made a list of items they would need to know such as where to find keys to safe, where my list of passwords are, phone number of financial planner, bank account info, Lens contact for NJ State pension, etc. Also a spread sheet of personal items and who gets what. Trying to make it as easy as possible.
