Reading Caught Up and Trying Something New.

Our Location today is at Windsor, Ontario.

Without setting the Alarm last night I would have made it to work on time if I had needed but decided to wait until 7:00 before getting up. Besides it was my day off just like yesterday. As soon as I started getting out of bed I could feel Kathy’s grip trying to hold on to my arm. Unfortunately it was my Back that won out.

I had barely started getting things ready for breakfast when Kathy joined me. Looking out the Balcony Door was far from encouraging when all we could see was a Cloud filled sky.

Everything is green and growing.

We spent most of the morning on the Computers but it wasn’t all fun and games. Kathy made another attempt at getting us registered for our Second Coronavirus Vaccine. Even our Local News has been telling us that we are now eligible for the Second Dose but each time we try to register the message that we are not shows up. I was actually busy applying for another Two Job Ads. One did involve Shift Work but at least it wasn’t steady Afternoons. Managing to get caught up on quite a few Blogs this morning helped to lift our spirits once more that things are starting to return to normal.

Some might find this strange but we simply had a bowl of Italian Wedding Soup with a slice of Raisin Bread as a side was perfect for an early lunch with a piece of Fruit for dessert. We finished our Coffee/Tea doing more reading on the Computers.

We had a list of things to take care of and were on our way out the door by 12:30. The first place we drove by was where I had the Job Interview the other evening. Kathy thought like I did while just seeing the outside of the building it would have been the perfect place to work.

Having to travel different roads during the week has made it so we missed the Fifth Season of the year. Road Construction Season has started and one of the biggest projects in the city of Windsor is just down the road from us on the Lauzon Parkway.

We stopped at Guardian Storage to find no Mail in our box. We drove around to be certain there was nothing visibly wrong with the Trailer.

The province of Ontario has just lifted a number of restrictions on what Stores can sell but not the number of people allowed back inside at one time. We stood in line outside the Dollarama waiting our turn to get the Food Stocks we needed. Many were buying items that had been restricted throughout most of this last Lock-Down and that was why so many had flocked to these stores today.

Over at the Zehr’s grocery store there was no line up outside so that made it easier for us to get everything we had on our list.

Back at the Apartment with everything put away we tried another of those ready made meals that we could occasionally use. This was Lasagna with Meat. Rather then using the Microwave where you typically end up with a chewy edging we used the Oven. It took longer to cook but came out quite tasty, no Chewy Edges and there is more for another meal.

On the 6 o’clock Local News out of London the Windsor/Essex Region had 3 New Coronavirus Cases bringing the Active Cases to 115 of which 58 were Variants of Concern.

The Humidex outside felt like 93 F (3 C) this afternoon as the Sun started breaking through the Clouds.

By the time I sat down to write this post I was completely caught up reading all the Blogs we follow on our Sidebar. Now the trick is to keep it that way.

Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment unless it personally attacks someone for their opinion or is Spam.

  1. I was curious to read that some items were restricted during lockdown...when you have time can you elaborate?

Have a good start to your workweek.

  2. I too am curious what items were still locked down? We haven't had item locks here since spring of 2020. Glad to see the #s are dropping faster.

  3. Strange to learn you have to make an appointment for the second shot. Here it is automatically made 30 days after of the first shot. We were given an appointment card showing date and time.

  4. We were wondering too what you can't buy during lockdown. The lasagna looks yummy. We used to buy Stouffers years ago and it was so good. Now we make cabbage lasagna instead of the noodles.
