It seems that we are back to taking turns. While Kathy had a hard time sleeping the other night I slept like a rock. So even though she was tired throughout the entire day Kathy didn’t allow herself to have a Snap. When she went to bed last night she slept soundly until this morning where she heard that I spent Six Hours from Nine staring at the ceiling or playing at the Computer until the Tylenol Night-Time Tablet kicked in.
For breakfast we finished the last Two Bananas we had that if left any longer would be heading to the trash. We only had time for a single cup of Coffee/Tea at the Computers before getting our chores finished before lunch.
Chicken Noodle Soup along with Cheese Sticks were lunch followed by a Clementine Oranges, Chocolate Chip Cookies and Yogurt Cups for dessert. It may sound like a lot but the Bananas were long gone.
We had a few errands to run so we headed out around 2:30. Our first stop was Guardian Storage where we collected our Mail before dropping a bunch of Binders off in our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. We then drove to the Storage Yard to check on the Trailer. With the Solar Panels tilted we know that our Batteries are well charged.

One of the pieces of Mail we got was the Refund Check for Kathy’s foot care treatment so we headed to Motor City Community Credit Union. We just missed the rush so we were there less then Five Minutes.
We headed to Shoppers Drug Mart to purchase the Stamps we wanted on Monday. It’s been some time since we’ve gotten stamps and I think I know why. A Book of Ten Stamps was nearly Eleven Dollars.
Since we were expecting company this evening we went to Zehr’s grocery store to pick up something for a snack. We were just cashing out when Gerry called saying they had just left home in Amherstburg and might be late.
We walked around Dollar Tree to use up some time and ended up walking out with a couple more Bins that Kathy could use for organizing in the Apartment.

We headed to the Michigan Diner and had just sat down at a booth when Gerry and Sandy arrived. By using 18 Highway, the Expressway then the Parkway they had all Green Traffic Lights and made great time. It’s been a while since we’ve gotten together so it was inevitable that there was always someone talking throughout our meal. It was also inevitable that we all had enough food to take home for our lunches tomorrow.

It was after 5:30 when we left the Restaurant. Since they have not been to this Apartment Gerry and Sandy followed us there. The Mixed Berry Pie and Tea were a hit but the best part was the continued conversation. They understand why we went with a smaller apartment and are realizing that they also need to Downsize. After a wonderful visit they left around 8:30 so they could get home to let Star out for her last walk of the night.

We’ve made a list of things we need to do tomorrow and then watched part of the 11 o’clock Local News. Kathy is already in bed and I’ll be there soon. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  3. You can mash those bananas and freeze them for a convenient time to make banana muffins or banana bread.
Always nice to catch up with friends.
