We were very relaxed when we went to bed last night knowing that we didn’t have to rush out the door early this morning. I actually just lay there feeling totally refreshed for some time before finally getting up at 7:20. ???? That was Ten Minutes earlier than we had the Alarm set for yesterday but because I woke naturally I felt rested.
I went through my routine before turning on our Computers. Kathy’s started an Up-Date last night and would take another Ten Minutes before it could be used. After finishing breakfast and we settled in to get caught up on yesterday’s publications we missed reading along with today’s. I was surprised to find many who had not written in Months doing extensive Catch-Up Blogs.
This New F-150 just won't do the job.
By 10:30 we received a call from Al the Service Manager at Bill Alexander Ford in Yuma. Ernesto the Mechanic had set up an Overnight Test on our Truck that had produced a loss of Coolant but it also left a tell-tale trace of where it was going. Now they needed me to Authorize the tear down and possible repair because this is where the $$ or $$$ comes in. He would call me later to say what they found.
Since I planned on doing some Maintenance on our Home we had an early lunch. Kathy made Baked Beans on Toast along with a Fruit Cup for dessert.
When I went on the roof to raise our Solar Panels in December I had noticed some Factory Installed Screws that held Roof Trim in place poking through the Sealant. Having taken my Storage Bins out of the Truck on Tuesday for this purpose I headed to the Roof to see exactly what I needed. After cleaning off the old Di-cor I found Two Missing Screws and Four that were working their way out. Removing those Screws I could see they were the wrong kind of Screw and too short.
Once I had everything completed and things away I remembered that I had ordered something at RV Lifestyle so Kathy joined me for the ride. My package was waiting for me because I had prepaid for it and it had arrived yesterday when we were in Yuma.
This was a nice day to be out and as we were passing the Vendors Area on Tyson Wells Road someone was pulling out of a curbside spot so we parked and went for a walk. We saw a lot of the vendors we recognized from last year and spoke to a few. We even saw somethings that might interest us if we lived in a house but an RV. We did find a gift for a special person that found it’s way home with us.
Back Home we did more catching up on the Computers before we started getting things ready for supper. I sliced a couple of Potatoes for Kathy to sautee while I grilled some Spare Ribs that we shared. Everything tasted wonderful and was more then filling.
After we finished washing the Dishes, closing all the Windows and Roof Vents we were just about to go outside when Al the Service Manager at Bill Alexander Ford in Yuma called back. They had found a Pin Hole in the front Timing Cover that was allowing the Coolant to seep into the Crankcase. They will replace all the Oil along with the Coolant and should have it completed tomorrow so we can pick it up on Saturday. This has been a Nightmare!
We waited outside until the Sun had completely set before lighting our Campfire. Wayne and Sue came over after they finished eating their supper. We are so comfortable talking with them that our conversations never stop. Sharing information, talking about the past even some scary or humiliating incidents. Good Friends.
It was nearly 10:00 when we heard the Coyotes off in the distance and started feeling the cold. Tomorrow is another day and we are looking forward to it. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

  5. I hope that fixes the truck issues for a long time.
Have you ever tried just brushing the potato slices with oil and placing them on the grill? We some times add a few spices or fresh grated parm when they come inside. Very yummy.
