Big Cool Down, Longer Ride, Repairs Made and Continued Research.

Our Location today is at McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

By the time we went to bed last night, the wind had quieted down and the Temperature had dropped to the point we were able to shut down our Air Conditioner. It was amazing to not wake once through the entire night. A beam of Sunlight started shining directly in my Eyes as it peered through the string holes of our Window Shades this morning. Pulling the light covers off to sit on the side of the bed had me scrambling to get my Housecoat as it was a bit cool.

By the time I’d opened the Window Shades downstairs the Sunlight that had awaken me was already hiding behind a thick wall of Clouds. By the time I had things ready for breakfast and Kathy had come downstairs she thought for certain we’d be getting more Rain like yesterday. It certainly wasn’t encouraging.

Moving over to our Computers the first thing I looked at was the 54 F (12 C) temperature. Checking the Radar there was a line of storms stretching from the upper corner of Arizona to Ohio then crossing the Great Lakes close to the Toronto area. We finally saw golfers out on the links and most looked like they were much more ready to go Skiing than to play Golf.

We stuck to indoor chores and travel planning for the morning. We’d already made our Computer reading a Two Cup morning but we still added yet another to go with our Soup for lunch topped off with a bowl of Strawberries that Kathy had just cleaned up.

We turned things around today by heading out on our Tandem Bicycle after having eaten. (It is actually better to exercise before eating.) Each time we ride around the Park, I try to change our route as a way of lengthening our ride. We managed to do the entire Park and Three Quarters of the streets Twice.

On our return I emptied our Waste Tanks before heading inside with a bag of tools. There was a Factory-Made Shelf that was coming apart and needed repairs. One reason it started coming apart was the Panel had been stapled through the brace from the bottom. Totally Backwards. Another reason was that I didn’t realize how much clothes was on that shelf. It was a mixture of Summer and Winter clothes. The shelf was repaired and the Clothes redistributed.

When I got done and had a chance to relax for a bit, I found Kathy was still busy researching Boondocking Sites not too far from many of the attractions that we are interested in seeing. As someone we all know says “Free is nice”.

Even with the Heavy Clouds we had today, we only had a very lite breeze. At 5:00 the temperature actually reached 61 F (16 C) allowing us to open a couple of Windows.

While Kathy was making a Garden Salad and a Cheddar Pasta, I was outside grilling a couple of small Salmon fillets. Everything tasted wonderful and satisfying.

After we washed the dishes, Kathy did a bit more research before calling it a day. It’s supposed to go down to 45 F (7 C) tonight so we’ll be leaving the Bedcover on tonight and leaving the windows closed. We’ll be getting more outdoor chores completed in the next couple of days in preparation to heading south. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
