Bike Ride, Small Rally, Got Chores Done and A Wonderful Visit.

Our Location today is at McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

Even though we’ve been sleeping with the windows closed the temperature seems to be perfect for us to sleep. Without the Air Conditioning running like when we were having those high Humidex days we are still getting plenty of fresh air because we all know just how Air-Tight RVs are.

We were both up around 8:00 enjoying a lite breakfast. Looking outside there were a few people out walking but with the Heavy Cloud Cover Kathy kept thinking that it was about to start Raining. We managed to make it a Two Cup morning at the Computers before completing our morning chores.

By 10:30 we were out riding our Tandem Bicycle around the Park. It has been a while since the last time and it felt good as a form of Cardio Exercise. It was cool enough that Kathy wore her Jacket to keep her shoulders warm. With Diabetic Neuropathy in her shoulders when they are cold they become very Painful. With so much Humidity in the air Kathy said she could feel waves of mists occasionally hitting us.

We also came upon a Rally that was taking place at the Park that we didn’t know was taking place. There were close to Fifty Class B Roadtrek RVs and most of the participants were over at the grassy Activity Area of the Park playing some sort of Beanbag Baseball.

We were back Home by 11:30 and we both had chores to do in the Kitchen. While Kathy blanched and peeled some Tomatoes, I was busy cleaning and chopping up the Cantaloupe we brought Home yesterday. By the time I had finished Kathy was putting the finishing touches on her Homemade Cheddar Tomato Soup. We remembered that the Cheese holds the heat and ate slow enough to avoid unwanted burnt feelers on our tongues.

We washed the dishes immediately after because if you don’t the Cheese becomes extremely hard to get off the dishes. Once that was done I gathered our trash and walked it down the Trash and Recycle Area of the Park.

Around 2:30 we were out the door heading to our Friends Gerry and Sandy’s house in Amherstburg. They were both busy when we arrived but the minute we got out of our Car their puppy Star let them know we were there. As soon as they say it’s okay she settled down. We sat and talked about a number of things before piling into their van and heading out to Kingsville.
Lake Erie in Kingsville through the windshield..
The last time we visited they had told us about this quaint little restaurant called the Beach House Grill. It has been so long that we have been out there we would never have found it. The menu was extensive which almost made it hard to choose what we wanted. The atmosphere was relaxing and as always, the conversation barely stopped long enough for us to eat. The food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Gerry drove a little further up the road showing us another eatery called the Train Depot which is located in what was the Historic Kingsville Train Depot. That looks like another outing for another visit.
Lake Erie from Colchester. That's how much Sun we saw today.
With the Heavy Cloud Cover we wanted to see how rough Lake Erie was so we ended up at the Colchester Dock. The water was fairly calm on our side of the lake considering the Radar showed the Clouds we were seeing, were being pushed up from Hurricane Florence and it hasn’t even made landfall yet.

Back at Gerry and Sandy’s we continued our visit with Gerry bringing out some Chocolate/Black Cherry Frozen Yogurt for a dessert. It was like a blend of Two Flavours with lots of Black Cherries and Chocolate Chips mixed in. It really tasted good.

When we visit we always feel comfortable about talking about all kinds of things and when I mentioned about having problems setting up Vera’s Apple Tablet Sandy explained how she set her’s up with no problem. Now that we’ve exchanged our Cell Phone information I know who to call the next time I’m stuck doing that kind of thing.

It was nearly 8:00 when we said our good-byes after a wonderful visit. “Thank You again Gerry and Sandy for a great visit and for introducing us to another great spot to eat”.

We’ll figure out what we are doing in the morning. Thank you for following along and feel free to leave a comment.
Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.
