Our Location today is on Plomosa Road BLM Land, Quartzsite, Arizona, U.S.A.

Due to the Rain and our neighbour’s noisy Contractor’s Generator we ended up going to bed with the Windows and Vents closed last night so we didn’t have that much fresh air. This morning even though the rest of the country had switched to Daylight Savings Time we were still on Arizona Time which means we are still the same as yesterday. So, we are now Three Hours later then our kids back in Ontario.
Linda and Howard presenting today's seminar.
This morning I was up by 7:30 Arizona Time and managed to get a lot of reading on the Computer done before Kathy got up at 8:20. She was positive that we didn’t have anymore Seminars left but when she saw everyone carrying their Chairs over to the Meeting Area we were soon out the door.
Now this is a classroom.

Today Howard passed along a number of Web-Sites that he uses for finding Free to Reasonably Priced places to Boondock. Lots of the participants had first hand experience with many of these but he’ll also be sending the links to us by E-Mail. He also talked about Boondocking Etiquette. Lots of Boondockers leave behind piles of trash wherever they go and eventually Laws will be passed to stop the practice. Clean up after not only yourselves and your pets but after the person that was there before you so that we’ll have clean places to Boondock in the future. It was also recommended that if you have a Noisy Generator to park even further from other RVs so as not to cause them problems. He finally talked about Pet Safety because we are for the most part staying where there are wild animals.
heading for another adventure.
The group broke up by 11:00 so we went back Home to get somethings put away. By 11:30 there were already some RVs pulling out, headed for their next adventure. We had a lite lunch of Leftovers.
Sue on right with their Texas Friends. (Forgot their Names)
Since Kathy didn’t sleep as soundly last night she had a Snap (Short Nap) while I went outside to repack our Basement. It seems anywhere you go if it looks like you are going to do some WORK that’s when people come over to see what you are up to. I did get the Tables and Weber Q all stored before checking all our Tire Pressures. The Trailer after little movement this winter had only lost around Five PSI while the Truck after all the bouncing on the trail to the Desert Bar yesterday it varied by as much as Twenty PSI. I’ll be fixing that tomorrow.
(L-R) Harold, Lorne and Pat
Kathy received an E-Mail from Linda saying there would be an Instant Pot Demonstration at 4:00 this afternoon.
Charlie hoping that someone will drop a snack.

By 2:00 we were on our way down the road to visit with Lorne and Sue from the blog A Place Called Away. Being parked about a mile up Plomosa Road it wasn’t a long drive. When we arrived at their site they were visiting with Friends that they met while in Texas this past winter. Shortly before 3:00 Harold and Pat from Along the Way arrived home and joined in the visit. Harold was really concerned about the issues we are having with our Trailer and started tell us about some of the nightmares they had with their Fifth Wheel. By 3:45 we were wishing everyone Farewells, Safe Travels and See You Down The Roads
Linda with her head down and a friend standing on right
explaining how to use Instant Pots.
We arrived Home just as everyone was bringing their chairs over to the designated rigs. Linda and a few friends had a Table set up between Two RVs in the Shade. They also had Six Instant Pots and two Honda Generators set up so they could demonstrate how to cook different things in them. This was not rehearsed as they cooked small amounts of food for everyone to have a taste. Linda was attempting to put a little Pepper to a Chicken Dish when the end came off the shaker. A hasty removal of some pepper was made but it actually was seasoned perfectly. They made a Pork Dish that was cooked perfectly but it needed more Pepper. They also did a Shrimp Scampi Dish (Kathy is deathly Allergic to Shrimp). Then Linda showed how to cook Diced Potatoes for Potato Salad with Eggs on the top of the Basket while she got a Cake cooking in another Machine. When the Potatoes were done they were supposed to be Quenched in Ice-Water. As the Basket was being handed over the Handle broke and it all ended up on the ground.

It was over Six Hours since we had lunch and Kathy’s head was starting to spin because her sugar was dropping. Since we hadn’t taken anything out of the freezer we again left the group and headed to Quartzsite for supper. We went to Times Three Family Restaurant where we had a chance to sit and enjoy a meal that we didn’t have to cook.

It was past 7:00 when we got back to Plomosa Road and the remaining RVers were around the Single Campfire they had going tonight. Fred filled our ears about his and Bonnie’s first days as Fulltimers and all their travels. We could remember doing things quite similar. He wished us well with our repairs and hoping we’ll meet again down the road. It was after 9:00 when we headed Home.

Being Fulltimers most times your plans are written in Chalk. It looks like we’ll be here a day or two longer then we planned so we can get things taken care of. At least our Noisy Neighbour left today. Thanks for following along, feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Krackers

Ask a silly question:

Is reading in the bathroom considered multi-tasking?

  1. Glad you have a free night or two without the noisy neighbor. Instant Pot seems to be the rage right now. I don't have one yet, but thinking about it. Enjoy your time there!

  2. You must have had some good laughs at the cooking demo. Too bad there wasn't enough food to taste four you all to count as lunch. BTW there is a nice shoe showing above Charlie. I really like it and would buy it if I saw it in a store.

  4. I have the smaller size instant pot and love it. Mostly just make stew in it. I run the generator to use it. Tasty stew in less than an hour.

    1. If you were using a pressure cooker the stew would be done in 15 minutes on the stove top on its lowest setting.
