Making Progress And Working Without Live Writer

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

We chalked up another night that we both slept soundly. We were glad that we had a chance to enjoy the gift of sunshine that we had yesterday because when we opened the drapes up this morning we were back to a cloud covered sky. Watching the Weather Network while having our breakfast they forecasted that we’ll be lucky if we see the sun for a few hours next Tuesday and to expect rain starting this evening on and off until then.
After catching up on our morning reading and with the foreboding clouds we worked at things we knew we needed to accomplish. Kathy went back to researching places to stay and things to see when we head south next fall. I was also in the research mode as I mentioned yesterday weighing the options of a “Plan B” as far as the Inverter System we wanted to install on the trailer. Unless new products suddenly show up on the market soon we’ll be sticking to “Plan A”.
Our daughter Karen called around 11:30 to ask if we could go over to their home after supper to let Sanford out and feed him his supper. The family had to go to Kitchener and Kylla was working afternoon shift. He only gets fed twice a day in the morning and supper time. Since we have a key to their beautiful home it would be no problem.
Kathy and I read many blogs today referring to the problems they are having because Live Writer is presently not working. We’ve had our share of computer problems but never that one because I could never get it to work in the beginning. Since that time I have composed our blog on Word using the font that I want and after Kathy edits it I simply Copy and Paste it to blogger. Of course loading pictures individually takes more time and has limited sizing and positioning but it still works. One blogger wrote that their post didn’t look anywhere near the way they wanted. By simply spending time in the Blogger Layout I have created a design for our blog that we are not ashamed of and have been complimented for. It’s not perfect but blogs are a work in progress. Some have said that without Live Writer they will stop blogging. I hope that is not the case. What Blogger should have done is to follow the simple rule of industry, “If it’s not broke don’t fix it.”
The temperature hit 59 F (15 C) under cloudy skies but it was still warm enough to grill some nice tasting spare ribs on the Weber for supper. Sanford enjoyed being let out during our short visit and having his supper.

Back at home after checking and rechecking a calendar file I’ve been working on it was finally printed this evening. I created this calendar with all the special dates that we keep track of printed on the calendar. Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary for family members or special holidays Canadian and US it is on there. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  4. I've used both Blogger and Live Writer and it's like so many other things in life. Once you have the best, it's hard to go back to an inferior product. :) I don't have anything to blog about anyway, so I can wait and hope LW will start working again.

  5. I composed the blog in Blogger, choose my font and size edit it, and upload all our pictures at once no problem and can position them where I want, works great for me.

  6. Blogger and WordPress are two that I have used, my blog posts are usually Blogger though and it seems to work for me. Yes, there are some issues with large spaces and sometimes dealing with the font makes me want a drink, but all in all I am happy with it.
