Recovered and Reorganized.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

With the warm Humidex that we were exposed to yesterday neither Kathy nor I had any trouble sleeping last night and we are fairly certain that our son Kevin did the same. After a refreshing shower the next thing I remembered was looking at the clock showing the time was approaching 8:00 this morning. Once I’d gotten things close to ready for breakfast I made my way to the computer and started catching up on my blog reading that I had missed out on yesterday. It was almost like Kathy had heard an alarm that woke her up at precisely 9:00. Watching the Weather Network while eating breakfast they displayed the forecast that indicated the same 102 F (39 C) Humidex for the next few days.

Once breakfast was finished we both headed to the computers to finish our morning reading and then to get caught up on spreadsheet entries that we were both behind on. Due to the high heat we also did a few other things inside the apartment in order to avoid going outside. I did have to post a letter at the mailbox across the street from our building and was very surprised at how high the sun seemed to be in the sky. It seemed to be at an angle that we have experienced only in the southern US states but not that I recall in this area.

Waiting until nearly 6:00 to have supper the temperature seemed to have dropped enough that there was a light breeze blowing past our balcony. That made it much more comfortable while I grilled some chicken breasts on the Weber to go with the baked Sweet Potatoes and green beans that Kathy had cooked for supper. We also finished off the last of the Strawberry/Rhubarb pie topped with frozen Vanilla Yogurt for dessert.

Once the dishes had been washed Kathy suggested we go to Walmart for groceries and a few items she was looking for. Since we couldn’t find the other items we waited to get the groceries. We scooted across the street to Canadian Tire where we found what Kathy wanted to organize the pot lids under the cupboard and a gift. Heading closer to home we stopped at the Metro Grocery store to get some fruits and vegetables for the next few days.

With more of this hot weather forecasted for the next few days who knows what we’ll be up to. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

Since it was sooo hot
I used pictures of
Florida beaches.
