Our Location today is Sugarloaf Key, Florida.
Even with the blaring sound of the band that played at the
Tiki Bar last night we were both able to fall asleep without much difficulty
thanks to all the fresh air we had yesterday. Unfortunately it was that fresh
air in the form of moderately high winds that woke us up this morning as it
rattled the awning that we’d left open for the night.
Watching the Weather Channel while eating our breakfast we
knew that we’d have a day made for relaxing. After checking the morning blogs I
went outside under the awning to exercise in order to take the pain from my
shoulders and neck. The wind had been increasing the whole time and caused me
to decide it would be better to close the awning for the rest of the day.

Our Picnic Lunch |
It amazed me that as soon as we’d done that people started
using our site as a shortcut through to the pool or their own sites. The park
rules say that is not allowed and these people didn’t even ask permission.

Spare Ribs, Asparagus and Sweet Potato Slices. |
I had grilled supper on the Weber and finally I was told to
mind my own business by an adult cutting through so I created a blockade of
sorts. Weekend warriors have no ethics or common sense.
|
Had to block off our site because of Weekend Warriors. |
Tomorrow we’re taking the bus from the park into Key West so
we’ll have more to write about then. Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all. Thanks for
following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Golly, that's no way to respect your location in a park ...... So glad you put up the blockade !!! The meal photos were looking great .....I could almost smell those ribs cooking !!! Hope tomorrow is a wonderful day ..... HAVE FUN !!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe joys of camping in public campgrounds, not many issues in our membership parks like that.
ReplyDeleteHave too much fun there.
Some people just have no manners. I'm glad you made a barricade.
ReplyDeleteHave fun in Key West. Try to stay for the sunset celebration on Mallory Square. It's always a fun time. We might even see you down there, since it's too windy to take the boat out.
That drives me insane too. Hope your blockade worked!!!
ReplyDeleteIt takes all kinds to make a world and you, sadly, had to bare the brunt of some fools. Good idea to barricade your site.
