Packing Up.

Our Location today is Moore Haven, Florida.

Kathy blamed me for getting out of bed to early and for having an early breakfast at 7:00 this morning. Once I’m awake if I just lay in bed it’s not long before my back tells me to get up and when I’m up Kathy’s not far behind me.

It did work to our benefit because I was able to open all the windows in the trailer in order to keep it cool inside while we were off on our final bicycle ride at the Glades RV and Golf Resort for this year. We rode for nearly an hour riding every lane in the entire resort, the nearby neighborhood and a part of the park we’d only heard about. This morning we followed a path that led to the horse livery and arena. Unfortunately there was no horses there at the time.

Once we were back at the trailer after a brief rest I had to start getting the outside closed up and ready for travelling. Stopping only occasionally to cool down from the hot Florida sunshine and for both lunch and supper this would be a chore that would last into the evening.
Lunch was baked beans on toast and Paczki for dessert.
Supper was grilled farmer's sausage with sweet potato and Spinach mixed salad.
The biggest challenge was that we had brought too much STUFF when we left home in December because we’d gotten the trailer back so late from the RV Dealer. All of that STUFF should have stayed home but then we have since added to it. By the time I locked the basement this evening there was room for nothing else.  A lot of this will be left behind next time around.
Our site this morning after the bike ride.
Kathy had busied herself vacuuming and packing what things she could on the inside of the trailer. Occasionally she had to help me to fold things up but the rest of the time we were both busy. It had taken us over a week to set up the way we wanted things to be and only one day to pack it all away.
Our site this evening.

As I was getting this blog ready to post Elaine and Rick stopped in worried they wouldn't get to see us in the morning. Now we have very little to do before we’re on the road towards Miami in the morning and since it is less than a three hour drive we won’t be rushed and we'd never leave without stopping in and saying good bye. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
