Our Location today is Tecumseh , Ontario .
It felt wonderful sleeping with the windows ajar last night breathing
cool fresh air rather than the recirculated air from the Air Conditioner. The fact
that it was cool also meant that Kathy didn’t take the covers away from me so
we both slept soundly and woke up feeling refreshed. We were sitting down to
have breakfast before 8:00 which is unusual for us because of our sleeping
habits brought on by the Sleep Apnea. An early start to the day is always a welcome
thing for both of us.
Once breakfast was finished we headed to the computers to
read E-mails and the blogs we follow. After that Kathy went back to researching
codes for our new NOAA radio. The method of warning people against severe
weather has changed in the last five years basically making our old radio
useless. With the new system each time we will stop to set up camp Kathy will
have to enter the area transponder number to better ensure our safety in that
location.
After I had completed my reading I went outside to clean out
the back seat of the truck. Because I couldn’t rearrange the basement on the
trailer due to the mud and rain puddles at the storage yard yesterday we had
many things that would have gotten in our way for our trip next week. So the
best thing we could do was bring them home to store until I can complete the
cleaning job but for now they have to come out of the truck.
Later this afternoon Kathy had an appointment with her
dentist in Amherstburg. Since this is Wednesday and we usually visit with the
kids it was perfect. Once we were done at the dentist we went Walmart walking
before going over to the Canadian Tire store to walk around. This helped us get
some exercise as well as getting our metabolisms working before going for
supper at McDonald’s where we enjoyed their Garden Wraps.
Arriving just slightly early for our visit with Kevin and
Melissa we still managed to fill the time talking about Kevin going tent
camping with Matthew on Beausolei Island. They’ll be leaving on Saturday the
same day as us but will only be gone for three nights. This will be a new type
of camping for Matthew because when he came with us he had the comforts of home
sleeping in the trailer. We also discussed what we still had to accomplish
before our departure on Saturday. As usual we all had our share of laughs and
were feeling happy when we left.
Again we’ll be busy for the next couple of days getting
things finished before we hit the road this weekend. We also have a few Doctor’s
appointments that we must keep. Thanks for following along and feel free to
leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
