Our Location today is Tecumseh , Ontario .
After two nights in a row that we both just were not
sleeping right we had a third. Kathy struggled for the first hour to fall
asleep but then she seemed to be alright. I got tired of laying in bed after
two hours and spent the next two hours reading blogs and checking what was on
television at that time of the morning. I finally went back to bed to sleep just
before 3:30 and woke up by 7:30. As I sit here writing this post it feels like a
ton of bricks sitting on my shoulders.
After breakfast of coffee and cereal we worked on the computers
until it was time to go for Kathy’s podiatrist’s appointment. We did manage to
get there slightly early but that worked to our benefit because we were on our
way back to the apartment before the appointed time. Her toe is finally
starting to heal properly so we’ll check back in another three weeks and
hopefully it will continue to get better.
Once lunch was completed we immediately started packing the
clothes that we planned on bring to the trailer this afternoon. We even
gathered a lot of the dry food stocks that we also planned on bringing and
living up to our rule of shopping at home before going out to by something
fresh while you already have it.
At the trailer I carried everything for Kathy to stow away
while I worked to remount our Air-Gate with the new bushings that we had picked
up at Vehicle Venture yesterday. We also started
the refrigerator to cool it down so when we bring in the perishables it will be
ready to go. In less than twenty minutes we were on our way but then everything
came to a stop as we were leaving the storage yard. There was a train that
crosses the service road near the yard that had traffic at a standstill for
about ten minutes.
Once we were moving again we headed over to a do it yourself
car wash that we had seen for the first time this morning. The truck needed a
good scrubbing after having gone to the storage yard for the last few days it
looked like we had been off-roading with it. The high pressure water made short
work of the caked on mud in the wheel wells and soon transformed the truck back
to the way it should look all the time.
For supper I fired up the Weber Q to grill a couple of
Hamburgers while Kathy fixed a nice Greek Salad to go with it. Today everything
just seemed to fall into place unlike the disorganized day we had yesterday.
Kathy and I would like to welcome our latest follower Jon
Felicia to our blog. Unfortunately according to his profile Jon doesn’t seem to
have a post of his own at the present time that we can give a shout out to but
if that changes in the future we’ll try
to pass it on. Again welcome aboard Jon.
Tomorrow morning when we hit the road we’ll be bringing our
Turbo Hub with us so hopefully we won’t be having the problems we’ve had in the
past with Internet connections. Thanks for following along and feel free to
leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
