Getting Somewhere.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario.

After going to a local McDonald’s to post last night’s blog I was on the phone with Bell tech support until nearly 1:00 trying to get the problem with the new DLS resolved. For some reason someone had written on the work order that it was to be installed on the 7th but not connected until the 10th and the techs in Central America would not correct it. Needless to say I was not a happy camper and had very restless night’s sleep.

We were up by 8:00 this morning and had Cheerios and coffee for breakfast. By 8:30 I was back on the phone speaking to local tech support. For the next two hours we finally got all our PCs and Laptop computers working off this new modem but not before we had reset it back to factory default settings. In other words the other tech that had worked on it customized the settings and had actually been part of the problem.

After finally reading our E-mails and morning blogs I started running all kinds of scans and defrags before we had our lunch. While visiting with Kevin and Melissa last night Melissa gave us a bag of Blueberries that she and our grandson Matthew had handpicked last weekend. Kathy used those berries today on frozen yogurt with maple syrup to create a nice sundae type dessert to go with the perogies we had for our lunch. Thanks very much Melissa the blue berries hit the spot.

Since we tested the television for the trailer last night and it works just fine we went back to the Guardian Storage Yard and reinstalled it this afternoon. Because we were held captive most of the afternoon yesterday waiting for the tech to come and install the new modem we were feeling the need to go walking.

Once again we started store hopping in search of the elusive computer desk (station) that would help us in the process of eventually downsizing to a single bedroom apartment. We had already searched online with no luck so we started visiting all the furniture stores in the area in hopes of finding just the right desk but ending with the same kind of luck. We finally stopped back at a different Staples location that had pictures of all the desks they carry and there were two possibilities. When they checked their stock on the computer they showed that they were all out but one of the stores we had already been to had one in stock just not on display. We were able to pay for it at one store, pick it up at the other store and they’d hold it for us. Problem Resolved!

It was already past supper time so we stopped at Taco Bell and used a coupon for an inexpensive but filling meal. We then picked up the computer desk and brought it home so tomorrow I might even get it put together. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

Office Jokes, Quotes, and Anecdotes

Cleaning Your Desk: Step 1 Here's the secret to getting a clean desk and keeping it that way: Nothing that you can hold in your hands is your friend. People print out e-mails. Why? Those copies of past reports, or congratulatory letters from your boss, you're keeping because? Out. Everything out. If you've ever watched professional packers prepare a house for a move, it's easy to understand. You have about twelve seconds to decide whether something is going, and what box it goes in. After that, they take over.

PS: Richard needs to take this advice.
He is very neat in most other ways except his desk.
Maybe he’ll do it for my Christmas present! LOL
