Fun and Family

Our Location Today is London, Ontario, Canada.

Yesterday we had planned to visit with my Aunt Anna and Uncle Bob but when we called in the morning were informed that Bob was sick with a Flu bug so there was a change of plans. Since Kathy’s immune system is so weak she would catch anything he had and he was too sick to go out so we headed out after lunch to look at some of the local shops in London to pass the time until meeting Anna for Supper at a restuarant.

I tried finding a local computer shop that might have a way for me to boost my WiFi reception at the campground. After five stops and nothing available that I could use to improve my connection in the trailer we stopped for a coffee at a Tim Hortons. Kathy had questions of why things we had seen would not work for us. I explained as the techs had told me the equipment they had would have had to been installed on the campground end of the system.

We continued looking at other shops where we managed to find and purchase additional Christmas gifts which is now only109 days away. We are still counting down.

By that time we headed down Wellington Road until we arrived at the Mandarin Restaurant to meet my Aunt for supper. We were parked less than five minutes when she arrived. After long awaited hugs and kisses we went inside to await being seated. The Mandarin restaurant is a buffet style restaurant which is awesome as they serve a wide variety of items from different cultures including North American cuisine as well. Kathy had never been there before and would give this restaurant a 10 for sure as the presentation and service was excellent.
Following supper we headed back to the trailer as my aunt had never seen this unit. She was very impressed and said it felt roomy and comfortable. The time flew by as we continued catching up and making plans for getting together again for today. Shortly after 8:00 we drove back into London to drop her off at her car. With more hugs and kisses we parted for the night.

This morning after breakfast I called my aunt to see how Bob was doing and if we were in fact going to be getting together again today. Bob was still in bed and not doing any better so we decided to meet somewhere down the road at a later time.

We’ll continue our exploring this afternoon then come home to get ready for our morning departure to Niagara Falls K.O.A. for more visiting with our son and his family.

Thanks for following our adventures. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. Mandarin is always a great place to eat. But I find that their prices have really gone up. Food is always very fresh and tasty.

  2. Hii. We had the same problem with wifi. WE ended up getting a wifi range extender by Netgear, (WN2500RP) and it works very well. One of the options does in fact require action from the main router, but it works without having to do that. Having been in this business, I would recomend this product to anyone. Not cheap, but bottom line, it works. $89.99 at Staples.

  3. Glad you didn't catch whatever bug was floating around.

We bought a Wilson Mobile Pro Mulitple User Cell Phone Signal Booster device to bring in the data internet signal better for our tablet and the cellular signal for our cell phones. We can go from one bar up to 4 or 5 when using it. It was about $150 from Amazon. Set out the antenna in a good spot with a long cord, and then plug the little box in and set it near your phone or laptop. It draws in the signal better for anything set near it.
