Sh--- Subject Day.

Our Location Today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

This morning I actually slept in until 8:00 am. which surprised me because we had the building maintenance man Jim coming in at 8:30.  By the time I woke Kathy, started breakfast and got dressed it was 8:20. We sat down to start eating our breakfast and at 8:25 Jim was knocking on our door. We were really happy that he had arrived to replace something near and dear to many of us, our toilet.

Shortly after moving in we started experiencing problems after simply having a potty break. I'd pull out the old trusty plunger I had from the house and a few thrusts later it would work fine. Last summer and fall we were not here very much so it was only a periodic problem. Once we were home from our travels in the fall I started noticing that I was averaging this chore once a week. I informed the office of the problem and they tried running an eel down the toilet only for me to be working on it a week later. It was getting embarassingly frustrating that I was becoming the designated toilet flusher in our apartment because it had overflowed on Kathy shortly after I had gotten it working again.

With further complaints about our overflowing commode Jim the maintenance man had run a scope through the stack to find a birds nest closer up near the roof but also a break in the line below our apartment. They brought in a contractor to fix that  but that didn't fix our problem. After todays installation whatevers in the toilet when you hit the lever is somewhere outside the building before you can count to one.

Kathy spoke with Karen today to see how Tyler was doing today. Apparently he was still sick this morning and she was too embarassed to call us two days in a row that she called Greg home from work to take him to the Doctors. The Doctor prescibed Antibiotics and said if he wasn't better by Friday to bring him back. When Greg got Tyler Home he just went back to bed and slept away the day like he had yesterday. So here's hoping that with those pills he starts feeling better tomorrow.

We headed out to Amherstburg for our Wednesday Night visit. It always seems that whatever subject we talk about we are always on the same wave lengths but also walk out with a good supply of laughter to hold us through to next week.

We noticed that we have a new follower today Sharron Wallace from the blog post The Odd Essay. She and her husband Bill have been fulltiming for quite sometime and have traveled all over the USA and many of the Canadian provinces. We'd like to Thank You for following our post and guarantee that I don't talk of such graphic subjects too often.

This morning it was very wet when we got up. It rained on and off all day. Tonight it just kept the tradition going and even started throwing in some flashes of lightning for good measure. With the weather forecast slowly climbing away from the freezing mark I'm sure that I won't be the only one looking foward to the arrival of Spring in 20 days. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It's about time.

  1. I think we need one of those toilets - we seem to have the same problem in one of our bathrooms!! Hope Tyler is feeling better by now.
