Birthday Celebration.

Our Location Today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

This morning we woke to a very bright white landscape with the sun just beaming through the windows. The only problem was that the high only reached 19 degrees ( -7 C ) for the day with wind chills below 0 ( -18 C) Since it was being close to seasonal for the day we managed to get our computer work done this morning without all the frustration we were experiencing yesterday.

This afternoon we headed over to Kevin and Melissa's to help celebrate Cameron's 12 th Birthday. He was quite happy with all his unique gifts that he received. Since it was just a small family party the grandchildren we able to play while the adults had a chance to laugh at the silly things that are happening in their lives. Even though we weren't there for a meal with all the snacks that were set up we still didn't eat supper until after 7 pm and even then it was just a bowl of soup.

Tonight Kathy noted she was getting a scratchy throat and asked me to go next door to the variety store to get her a Listerene pocket spray because that always seems to help her out. Well they didn't have any so I figured I'd just walk the block and a half to the Drugstore. Was I glad I was dressed for the cold weather with my hiking boots on. Remember how it snowed yesterday and the sun shone today. Well the town of Tecumseh has this machine that they use for cleaning the sidewalks which was really nice of them. The problem was after they cleaned the sidewalks the snow plow came along cleaning the streets and just piled all that XXXX back on the sidewalks. Once I returned to the apartment Kathy was amazed that I walked so far. I was amazed I didn't twist my ankles on the obstacle course that was supposed to be a sidewalk. Reminded me that the snow plows did exactly what they did when we had our home and I had to shovel the sidewalks. Man I don't miss it!
Used to clean the sidewalks all the way past the brown mailbox
plus the front walk and driveway by hand only to have the city snowplow
come along and recover the sidewalks three to four times a snowfall.
Oh well Spring will still arrive in another 38 days or less. Stay Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.

  1. Watch that frozen snow. Nothing more dangerous than snow, thaw then freeze.

  2. Nice to celebrate with the grandchildren, isn't it? It must be cold up there because the temps dropped into the low 20's overnite here in TX. Like you say though Spring in 38 days.
