Timing.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Though we had no place to be early, both Kathy and I got out of bed at exactly 8:00 this morning. We immediately settled in at our Computers where the first thing I did was to check what our area Weather was going to be. The Weather Network confirmed that we had reached 54 F (12 C) yesterday but burst our bubble when they showed that this morning’s temperature of 43 F (6 C) was our high for the day. It also showed it would be cooling down as the day progressed.

I have mentioned how we do not like to waste money on food, so we enjoyed Banana Pancakes for breakfast, before taking our Coffees back to the Computers.

It was close to 12:30 when we sat back to enjoy Grilled Olive/Cheese Sandwiches for lunch. An Hour later, Kathy was wondering what was for dessert. We shared the last Four Cookies in the Apartment.

When the sky started to darken, we decided to not join the throngs of people filling the stores. One of the things on this morning’s forecast was a 60% chance of Flurries. By 2:00 it was a reality that lasted over an Hour. We looked out, once it stopped but could see no sign that anything had hit the ground.

A little bored, we watched the newer version of “The Karate Kid” with Jackie Chan, that we had never seen. Though I knew what the outcome would be, Kathy was sitting on the edge of her seat cheering.

We waited past 5:00 before having Perogies for supper. I had planned on something different but after hearing Kathy reporting the same false news for the Fifth time, I took the easy way out.

It was past 9:00 before we watched a couple episodes of “Forensic Files”.

Even with colder temperatures tomorrow, the clear skies might help to get us out the door.

Springlike Errands.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

I have to stop talking about the few times that I actually get a good night’s sleep, because when I do, I pay for it, for weeks. I do fall asleep, only to wake up a short time later. Another day in Wonderland.

We started our day minutes after 8:00 but spent time on our Computers before having a Cookies, a Yogurt Cup and Morning Juice before taking our Coffees with us. There were more than the normal articles to catch up on. Unfortunately, we were not watching the time, nor were we getting hungry.

When we walked out the door minutes after 1:00, we were bathed in 54 F (12 C) Springlike Sunshine and a gentle Southwest breeze. It was warm enough to drive with my window down.

Our first stop was to collect our Mail at Guardian Storage. Since Melissa had teased me about Friday the 13th this past month, I gave her news that made her scream. Since the March calendar mirrors most of February for three out of every four years, we will again see another Friday the 13th this month. What made Melissa scream is there is another Friday the 13th in November and she is superstitious.

In Canada, the Government pays our Canada Pension and Old Age Pension near the end of every month. We parked next door to the Credit Union and went in to take care of business. Of course, there was only a single Teller and we were third in line.

Thirty Minutes later, we walked past our Car and into Taco Bell to have a very late lunch. Kathy keeps telling me, wherever I want to eat is fine, so I try to change things around. We did not rush, but we had more errands to run and looking out the windows, we could see the start of Rush Hour.

We cut through the Walmart parking lot to get to the Bank. Cars that had been on Tecumseh Road just ahead of me, were finally coming around the corner on the Parkway. Kathy waited in the Car while I went inside. The place was packed but the line moved fairly quick.

Stopping at the Dollarama closest to home, we gather some supplies that we needed, before heading home. It did not take long to get everything put away, but moments after I sat at my Computer my Eyes closed for about Fifteen Minutes. I just want to sleep at night.

The Weather Guesser on the “6 o’clock Local News” was enjoying the praises for today’s weather, before it all changed. We will see a few Cold days with Flurries heading our way. We have been luckier than our neighbours that live further North of our location. We live in the area considered to be Canada’s Florida.

We enjoyed Bacon/Veggie Wraps again, for our late supper.

We watched a few episodes of “Law and Order; Special Victims” this evening.

We’ll see what tomorrow brings.

Neurologist Report.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Click on the pictures to enlarge.

I mentioned yesterday, that due to an early appointment today, I had to set the Alarm. As per usual, that kept me moving between my Recliner and Bed most of the night. That does not add up to a restful night but at the same time, it seems to reprogram my brain. The last time I rolled over and got up, was Two Minutes before the time it was set to go off.

I was just putting our Morning Juices on the table to take our Morning Medication, when I looked into the Bedroom to see Kathy finish making the Bed. By the time we were dressed the Computer finally came on to show that we needed to dress warm to go outside.

Not knowing how long it would take to make breakfast, I chose that we would stop at Wendy’s for that meal. Two Black Coffees and Two Breakfast Bacon Wraps were served in Two Minutes for a grand total of $4.20. The best part was, there were no Dishes. Since we had made better time than expected, we were able to People Watch and finish our Coffees before heading out.

Our appointment was with Kathy’s Neurologist in Tecumseh to discuss the results of her MRI. As far as he was concerned, Kathy’s memory loss is progressing at a normal rate. She can still function normal routines but he advised her to get out for more walking exercise. This will keep her away from the attack Treadmill that bit into her leg the last time we went downstairs. He has also started Kathy on a Prescription that will help her retain more of her memories.

Back in Windsor, we went to Health First Pharmacy. Since it would take Fifteen Minutes to fill, I sat in the Car with Kathy. She said she didn’t need to see him or take those pills. The easiest way to end the negativity was to say I needed it. I just want my Kathy back.

Back at the Apartment, we enjoyed another Coffee as we started our morning reading on the Computers. It was close to noon when I started creating our Homemade Italian Salads for lunch. Trying for something different, I used Feta Cheese rather that Cheddar or Mozzarella. Kathy had already scarfed her’s down and I was barely Halfway through. Saying that she wanted dessert, I simply gave her a Cookie.

This afternoon I had the chance to answer a few E-Mails and leave a few Comments. It was nearing time to start making supper, when my Eyes closed on me for about Thirty Minutes. I hate doing that, when I am not sleeping properly at night.

When I recovered, I started slicing most of the Vegetables in the Fridge anyways. I do not want food to go to waste. It is the same as throwing our Money away, and nobody wants to do that. The “6 o’clock Local News” was just starting when we sat down to enjoy our Bacon/Veggie Cheddar/Mozzarella Wraps. Kathy could not finish her’s. The Weather Guesser showed the temperature roller coaster starting tomorrow, with our high reaching 50 F (10 C) before dipping again.

We later watched “The Pitt” this evening but Kathy went to Bed, halfway through.

We have errands to run tomorrow.

The White Blew Away and My Eyes Closed.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Click on the pictures to enlarge.

Unlike Monday Night, I comfortably napped in my Recliner, before heading off to Bed. Once there I seemed to drift in and out of sleep. Being tired from the lack of sleep on Monday, staying awake was the was the farthest thing on my mind. As a fact. I was constantly falling to sleep but moments later waking up just long enough to roll over and repeat. I forced myself to stay in Bed until minutes before 8:00 this morning.

Before leaning back last night, the last thing I did was to examine all the White vehicles in the parking lot. As soon as I walked into the Livingroom this morning, the first I did was to look at all the clean vehicles down below. The Westerly Winds did a great job of cleaning them off.

By 8:30, Kathy came out to join me. We enjoyed a Pastry for breakfast along with our Morning Juice to take our morning Medications with. We then brought our Coffees to our Computers, to start our morning reading.

Though I had Planned on making a Homemade Italian Salad for lunch, I was still feeling tired enough, that I automatically opened a can of Split Pea with Ham Soup instead. With an Apple for dessert, we were back to our screens.

With the Crispers in the Fridge full of Vegetables to make a Stir-Fry for supper, I was disappointed that my Eyes closed around 4:00 and did not open until the”6 o’clock Local News” was about to start. Kathy just smiled and said that I needed it. The Weather Guesser explained that we would not be getting the Flurries originally forecasted for the next few days.

In an effort to speed up our late supper, we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Chicken Pizza. We later had a Cookie as a snack, while we watched a couple episodes of “Mayday” for entertainment.

Knowing we have to get up and out early in the morning, I set the Alarm and shut the Television at 10:00, so Kathy would get a bit more sleep and I could write the Blog.

I’ll let you know how things go tomorrow.

On The Move.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Click on the pictures to enlarge.

I mentioned in last night’s blog that I did not want to Jinx my ability to have a few good nights sleep in a row. In hindsight, by just mentioning that seemed to do exactly what I did not want. Again, by getting to Bed earlier than normal, seemed to fight against me. Rather than relaxing enough to sleep in my Recliner, I stared at the ceiling and became more alert. Out of frustration, I went to Bed only to do the same thing, while laying down. It became a back-and-forth night that ended with me starting my day shortly after 7:00 this morning.

Looking outside, it was nice to see that all the dusting from yesterday’s Flurries was nowhere to be seen. Even the Side Streets and Parking Lot Pavement were clean. As soon as I had The Weather Network running, I understood why. The temperature was only 23 F (-5 C) but with the Twenty-Three MPH Wind Gusts, everything had been blown clean.

Due to the lack of sleep, I turned on the Television at a low volume, just to give me an added distraction. When Kathy joined me, I had most of my Blog Reading completed. Breakfast was a couple of Cookies and Yogurt Cups.

We had barely sat down at our Computers before 9:00, when I received a reminder call for Kathy’s Thursday appointment. Twenty Minutes later, someone called my phone wanting to sell Kathy some Life Insurance. We have both had coverage for years. Oh, but wait, it might not be enough. I believe he got the message. An Hour later, we had Duct Cleaners wanting to help us out. When you tell them, that you live in an Apartment and have Electric Heat, they don’t want to believe you. As Nancy would say “Glad that it’s not a Full Moon”.

Needing to clean the Freezer a bit more today, we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Hawaiian Pizza with extra Mozzarella Cheese for lunch.

Kathy insisted on walking out to the Car with me this afternoon. The temperature had reached a balmy 30 F (-1 C) but the Northerly Wind Gusts chilled us to the bone.

Our first stop was Guardian Storage to collect our Mail, since I was busy doing the Doucettes on Saturday. We had more T4 Slips to use when we do our Income Tax Returns, before the end of April. We also drove by the Trailer to be certain it had not been tampered with.

When the recently reorganized Dollarama did not have our Breakfast Juice in stocks, we moved over to Zehr’s grocery store. We took our time, getting Produce, Dairy Products, Frozen Foods and Paper Products, before heading out.

We even stopped at Wendy’s to have Chicken Nuggets for supper. Paula was all smiles, because her grandchildren had come to visit Gramma at work. Again, we took our time, adding some people watching for good measure.

Kathy did not hesitate to get out at the front entrance on our return. With the help of the Folding Two Wheeled Shopping Cart, I was able to bring everything upstairs in one load. Another Half Hour and everything was put away.

The Weather Guesser on the “6 o’clock Local News” confirmed that the Flurries to our area will not be as intense as originally forecasted, however it appears that the temperatures and Wind are ready to start the Springtime Roller Coaster.

We watched an episode of “Mayday” before Kathy headed off to Bed.

We have a few things to do tomorrow.

Cold White North.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Click on the pictures to enlarge.

After jinxing myself before, I will simply say that I had another good night’s sleep and when I woke this morning felt completely rested. The only bad thing was when I looked out the Balcony Door, all the vehicles in the parking lot below were completely White. There had only been lite Flurries overnight, so it would easily brush off.

I had just started getting things ready for breakfast when Kathy came out to join me. I do not understand why but she acts like she has overslept when she has not. Knowing that she needs the extra sleep I let her enjoy it, unless we have appointments or she is overdoing it. If that happens, there is a good chance that she will have trouble sleeping that night. The way I will wake her may vary, anything from Kissing her, opening the Bedroom Blinds, both or by turning the News on the Television. She thinks that I am talking to someone and comes out to see who is here. Once she is up, the Television is shut off until the evening News comes on, because we enjoy talking to one another and she does not put her Hearing Aides in, until she gets dressed.

Our Breakfast Muffin easily held us over, until we had a Homemade Italian Salad for lunch. Both were filling without adding excess calories. Another advantage to the Salad is that it bloats you enough to trick your stomach to think it is full.

The Weather Guesser on the “6 o’clock Local News” changed his forecast for our area again. With a Four to Six Inch covering reduced to less than an Inch, we don’t mind. What we don’t like is the Frigid Cold Temperatures that are coming back to haunt us.

We later shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Pizza, for a late supper, while we watched a couple episodes of “Forensic Files”.

We have things to do tomorrow.

WTH, Reconnected and White Again.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

Click on the pictures to enlarge.

I won’t bother talking about sleeping exactly the same time in my Bed and Recliner on Friday or spending the entire night in Bed yesterday. It was a busy day where I spent most of the afternoon filling Six Weeks Worth of Pill Doucettes for both Kathy and I. By the evening, I logged everything into the Medication Spreadsheet, along with packing the case away. Then the headache began.

For a change I started writing the Blog much earlier than normal, which could have made it sound Redundant and out of sorts, but I carried on. Kathy was sitting next to me checking the same ol same ol articles, that she repeatedly has claimed to be new for the last Six Months.

Everything was written but when I tried getting On-Line, it was not happening. I tried restarting my computer at least Six Times. I tried working the Systems with no Luck. I tried using my Cell Phone as a Hot Spot. It was past Midnight when I tried using Kathy’s Old Laptop, with the same result. Rather than waking Kathy and the neighbours screaming at it, I called it a night.

As soon as I looked out the Balcony Blinds this morning, I noted that our Springlike world had fallen back into the Dismal White Winter Season. After a Muffin for breakfast, our Coffees were brought to our Computers. Since all my Files were on my Computer, I did the same thing I did last night. On the second attempt to work through the Systems, it finally all connected.

I started using this machine in the Fall of 2015 and only had a few issues with it. I will try to limp it a bit further, do some diagnostics and hope it makes it another year. At that point, who knows what will happen, possibly it will be time for a replacement.

We will see what tomorrow brings.

Gusty.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

It was another back-and-forth night between my Recliner and Bed. Though I did wake feeling refreshed this morning, it took an extra Ten Minutes before Kathy came out to join me. Looking outside we could see the High-Rises miles away quite clearly.

Breakfast was different this morning, instead of a Snack we enjoyed Muffins with a bit of Butter. The change was very satisfying.

Last night’s forecast had called for Possible Thunderstorms, but we were fortunate enough to sleep through the noise. Moments after sitting at our Computers with our Coffees, we started hearing significant Wind Gust that would be measured above the Forty MPH (62 KLH) range that would vary throughout the day. Even as I sit here writing this post it continues to blow. Hopefully, it will not continue the entire day tomorrow.

At noon, in order to use up a loaf of Bread before it spoils, we enjoyed Salmon Sandwiches for lunch. We actually saw a few splashes of Sunshine on and off this afternoon before it would disappear behind the Clouds again. Luckily, the Above Freezing Temperatures combined with the Wind worked together to break down the plow piles of winter waste. There were people walking on the Ganatchio Trail, that were being pushed into short runs from that same Wind. Being stiff from the additional walking we did yesterday, made our choice to stay in, much easier.

On the “6 o’clock Local News”, the Weather Guesser had to make changes to this weekend’s forecast. Either we’ll be putting our Winter Coats back on, or we’ll spend more time inside.

Once the News was finished, we shared a Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Chicken Pizza for supper, then we watched a few episodes of “Law and Order”.

I’ll be busy tomorrow, hopefully not all day.
