Advantages and Problems.

Knowing there was no rush to be anywhere early this morning, meant there was no need to set the Alarm. The end result was that I slept the way I should always.

One I was up it was only a matter of minutes before Kathy would come out to join me and knowing that we would definitely be doing Grocery Shopping today, I cleaned the last of the Fruit from the Fridge. Oranges with Trail Bars was more like a snack that went with the Coffee we took to the Computers. It was 10:30 when we headed out.

Our destination was Dyna-Care in Tecumseh where I had an appointment for Blood Tests, that sprang from yesterday’s doctor’s visit. Normally, we are here for Kathy, but not today. We actually had to sit for Five Minutes before I was called. We were leaving Fifteen Minutes before my Appointed Time, unlike their other location that does not take appointments and leaves you waiting for up to Three Hours.

Knowing that we were going grocery shopping and our breakfast snack had worn off, we drove across to A&W for some nourishment. With the increasing heat building outside, their Frosted Cold Mugs made the Root Beer even more thirst quenching.

Our next stop was the nearby Dollarama to replenish our depleting supply of Brisk Iced Tea and Lemonade along with our Breakfast Juice. Since Kathy had rushed to leave home, we had to pick up a Knee Support so she would survive the upcoming walking.

When we finally arrived at the Zehr’s grocery store we didn’t even need a Shopping List because we simply needed Everything. A big advantage of shopping on a day where the outside temperature felt like the Century Mark was the stores all had their Air Conditioning cranked. The big problem with that, was when you walked outside, it was like you got hit by a hammer.

It didn’t take long to get home, but then we had to load our Folding Two Wheeled Shopping Cart to haul it all upstairs. That was a challenge.

Inside the Apartment we had to open the Balcony Door and Bedroom Window to circulate the Hot Air. I was emptying the Cart when Kathy disappeared. With Frozen Foods to put away, I continued doing just that. Five Minutes later she came inside with the last Two Shopping Bags we couldn’t take on the first load. She had to sit down to cool off for a while.

Once everything was put away and I then changed to cooler clothes, armed myself with my trusty Screwdriver went out on the Balcony. I finally got the Winter Cover off our Air Conditioner Sleeve. As soon as I was inside the AC was turned on. As soon as the Fans were set up to circulate the cooler air, the Window and Door were shut.

As we were enjoying supper I realized, we had forgot to pick up the Prescriptions the doctor had called in for me.

We later watched a “Murder Mystery” and the “11 o’clock Local News”. Looks like this weekend, our area will actually reach the Century Mark.

Early Appointment, Follow-Up and G7.

As per usual, before shutting the lights last night, I had to set the Alarm to be certain I would be on time for an appointment. It worked so well, that half the night was spent staring at the Ceiling, while the other half was spent tossing and turning. I still woke Fifteen Minutes before the Alarm would have gone off. I managed a Shower and Shave before heading out the Door by 8:00. Since it was so early, Kathy stayed at home.

Parking at the Medical Buildings, had me close enough to the entrance, that I walked in more than a Half Hour early. There were others leaving before I got checked in. Thomas took me right in and had answers to my questions but is sending me for Blood Tests since it has been over a year that he has had numbers to examine. I will then see him again to check things over before the end of next month. I was heading for home Fifteen Minutes before my appointed time.

I made a quick stop at Wendy’s where I picked up Two Bacon/Egg Wraps with Two Coffees for an easy made breakfast. Using an Insulated Shopping Bag, kept everything Hot until I walked in the Apartment.

The first thing I did on the Computer today was to try to make an appointment for Kathy’s next Blood Test but the program would not except it, because the date was over a Month away. Five Minutes later I was schedule to have my Blood Test done tomorrow.

It was 2:00 when we sat down to enjoy Bacon/Veggie Wraps for a late lunch.

We were surprised to see the Meeting of G7 Leaders taking place in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on a Canadian News Channel. The US President kept trying to say the Tariffs were working for His Country. On a sadder note, they also spoke of the Shootings of Minnesota State Officials.

It was nearly 7:30 when we sat down for a late supper. We enjoyed Salmon Fillets, Sauteed Asparagus and Perogies.

We later watched a couple of episodes of “FBI” along with the “11 o’clock Local Newsthat showed it could be Hot and Wet tomorrow. We’ll see what else happens.

Fathers Day Wishes and Comments Answered.

I don’t know how, but I managed to get to sleep earlier last night and wake up later this morning. I haven’t slept that long in one day since the day of my Surgery last August. Though I felt more rested, it didn’t stop my eyes from closing a few times throughout the day.

We simply enjoyed Cereal for breakfast before taking our Coffees to our Computers. I chuckled to myself when “The Weather Network” showed we were under Sunny skies, but looking out the Balcony Door, you could only see a solid Cloud as far as the eye could see.

There were a few calls today with Father’s Day Wishes which was a nice acknowledgement. Here is hoping our Male Readers were able to enjoy a Happy Father’s Day with their families.

Since we have been wearing down our food stocks so they can be replaced with fresh, I’ve been attentive at watching the Best Before Dates. We settled on having Grilled Cheese with Olive Sandwiches for lunch.

With the outside temperature reaching 81 F (27 C) it was actually cooler by keeping our Window and Balcony Door closed.

It was nice seeing a number of Blogs that we have followed for years, suddenly rise to the top of the most recently published on our Sidebar. It’s been months for some, but a couple it has been over a year. I can only say welcome back to Blogland.

In answer to why I fill our Medical Doucettes the way I do, it’s about time. Since Kathy takes 12 Prescribed Medications, all Non-Opioid, along with my single Prescription to help Bone Growth, we also share 15 Different Vitamins. Throughout my career, many of those Vitamins helped me heal from Injuries, Burns and build my Blood. I also tried cutting back on some numerous times, only to have to restart them again. Because of that, I try to schedule this chore every Six to Seven Weeks so it actually saves time. When we are travelling, the chore goes to 45 Days, which means over Six Months it is not always on a Saturday.

When I do this, I use the entire table with all the Prescriptions on one side of the table and the Vitamins on the other. Whenever I’ve finished with one, it is placed in our Travel Box to keep it Safe.

I start by filling Kathy’s PM Medications first, then swing them around to do the AM, which also includes Vitamins. A trick to save time, I mark the Vial Caps with a Sharpie Marker, some are marked E (evening), others are marked M (morning) and others are marked E M (for both). It also avoids confusion.

I started the Medication Spreadsheet when we were Fulltiming as a way of making certain we had all the Medications and Vitamins we would need for our Six Months south of the Border. By using the Spreadsheet, we could build up our supply of Vitamins through the Six Months we were at home, because it would have been impossible to do it all in One Month. The Prescribed Medications were also tracked and continue even today, because the Doctors have a habit of changing them. This way after they are sure the Meds are working I order Make Up Orders, so that all Ninety Day Supplies from the Pharmacy will come due at the same time. We also track which Medications we have reactions to, so we if we are away, we don’t have a Clinic or Doctor Prescribe them to us.

I cleaned up more of the Vegetables in the Fridge by making Bacon/Veggie Wraps for supper.

We later watched “Iron Manthis evening.

I’m late getting to bed and have to be up early in the morning. Here’s hoping I can sleep.
