148th and Freezing Rain.

Our Location today is Windsor, Ontario.

I only sat in my Recliner for Two Hours, before spending the rest of the night in bed. Since I hadn’t had the chance to examine my CPAP Machine as to why it seemed there wasn’t enough Breathable Air to help me sleep, the Machine told me. When I got up at 8:00 and turned the CPAP off, the message that it was time to change the Filter appeared on the screen. Opening the side panel the Filter still looked fresh but I replaced it on both our Machines anyways.

After Cereal for breakfast we only spent long enough on our Computers to finish our Coffees before getting dressed and heading out the door.

We took the Parkway down to the Expressway before exiting on Howard Avenue. A few more turns and we were parked at the Canadian Blood Services building at the Roundhouse Center.

Sometime memories come back of watching the old Locomotives being turned round in that Building, or riding our Bicycles on the old Devonshire Racetrack, where the Mall is today.

By the time I filled in my Questionnaire I was right on time for my appointment. Kathy sat in the lounge area with the intention of reading the book she had brought along, but was shocked not to find it in her purse. Having forgotten it on the table at home, it simply made for a long Hour while I made my 148th Blood Donation.

When I was finished we drove the Quarter Mile across the parking lot to Pita Pit, where we each enjoyed a Chicken Caesar for only $7.00. Healthy Fast Food at reasonable price. It was only 12:15 when we walked in with a slight line ahead of us. Five Minutes later, when we sat down, the line had grown. By the time we left we had to excuse ourselves to get out of the building. That tells you how good the food is.

With more appointments tomorrow, we simply headed for home. We felt the Cold North Wind blowing between the buildings as soon as we got out of the Car so we headed towards the front entrance. By doing so, the building blocked the Wind, unlike the rear entrance that creates a Vortex between our’s and the next building.

We spent the rest of the afternoon getting caught up on the Computers. It was so gruelling that I Blinked and found an entire page of “Zs” in front of me. Luckily it was a quick fix.

The 6 o’clock Local News, warned us of Icy Road Conditions tomorrow, so we set the Alarm to be certain we can drive safely to our appointment. The News was half finished before we realized we hadn’t had supper yet. So we shared a No-Name Store-Bought Thin-Crust Medium Supreme Pizza.

We watched an Hour of Local US News, that also warned about tomorrow’s driving conditions. We then watched Chicago Med”, “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago P.D.to finish off our evening.

Hopefully the Road Conditions won’t be as bad as forecasted tomorrow.

Be Safe and Enjoy!

Krackers

Did you hear about the paddle sale at the boat store?

It was quite an oar deal.
