After sleeping fairly
soundly last night I first looked at my watch at 6:50 this morning. I know that
I don’t like sleeping in but at that time the Sun hadn’t even risen. Closing my eyes again the next time they opened
was at 7:40 MST which was a little
more reasonable as far as I was concerned.
It was necessary to open
all the Window Shades just to let
enough light in so that we wouldn’t trip over things. When Kathy made it
downstairs at 8:10 she didn’t even comment that the Sun was in her eyes. As a fact it was Kathy that spotted the glow
behind the Clouds that showed where
the Sun actually was.
The temperatures have really
dropped from what they were a few weeks ago so once again while doing our
morning reading on the Computers we
both had a second cup of Coffee/Tea
to help warm us up.
I called Leisure
Trailers in Lakeshore to find out what is
happening with Jayco
but Stephanie won’t be in until Monday.
Our next call was to the Windsor Eye
Institute to book our Cataract Surgeries. When they tried to
book us for early March I explained that we were still in Arizona and preferred doing them
during the summer. Their response was to call back in early May.
Lastly, I called Amazon
about the missing package that we haven’t received. Their records showed it was
delivered to the Quartzsite Post Office and
returned. It also showed the correspondence I had with the Vendor afterwards but that was it. (They knew as much as I did.) They sent out an E-mail on my behalf so hopefully we see some results by Monday.
Our on again off again “Overnighter” neighbour pulled out just
before lunch. The fact that they don’t have a Towed is probably the reason they keep disappearing.
We discussed what we wanted
to accomplish today so we decided to have a Grilled Cheese Sandwich along with Chicken Noodle Soup for Lunch and some Strawberries for dessert.
The chore today was doing
the Laundry. After everything was
sorted I loaded things in the Truck.
Walking around the outside of the Trailer
the 61 F (16 C) temperatures felt a lot colder. We definitely needed to wear
our Jackets. The Sun was just starting to break through the Clouds and as long as you stayed out of the Wind you were comfortable.
It was around 12:30 when we
headed to the Main
Street Laundromat in Quartzsite.
There were plenty of people who had the same idea we did but with all the
machines it didn’t take long to wash and dry everything. With Kathy’s assistance
we finished folding all the clothes in no time.
It was too early to have a
meal out so instead we had a snack that would extend our time to supper. We
stopped at Dorothy
and Toto’s for Black Cherry Ice Cream Cones.
It was past 3:00 before we
got back Home
in La Posa
South LTVA and there were breaks
in the Clouds. Looking at the Charge Controller Monitor it was just
starting to charge our Batteries.
We put all our clean clothes
away, checked our E-mails and
started getting things ready for supper by 5:00.
While Kathy was inside making
some Macaroni and Cheese along with Cole Slaw, I was outside grilling a
couple of Boneless Pork Chops.
Everything tasted wonderful and our dessert was a Clementine Orange.
The Weather Network along
with all the Local Forecasters are
showing a big cool down headed our way. Having tried to run the Propane Line for the Blue Flame Heater by myself I just have
no idea why the line that is less then Three
Feet away from the connection point is disappearing above the Fresh Water Tank. Sometime tomorrow
Wayne is going to give me a hand to try again.
We barely saw the Sun today but the Clouds gave us a good show this evening for Sunset. Thanks
for following along, feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

I have had the same problem with Amazon and USPS. I asked Amazon to refund the order and then order it again. Rather than actually help someone, the post office prefers to just send it back. It's maddening they do not provide better service.
ReplyDeleteToo bad about your package and having to deal with the phone calls..very frustrating! Nice that you can go do laundry later in the day, sure couldn't do that earlier this winter. Lunch and dinner both looked tasty! Beautiful sunset pics!!
ReplyDeleteHope you find your Amazon package. I've heard stories (all bad) about the Quartzsite Post Office sending stuff back.
ReplyDeleteAnother nice sunset in the desert!
Your weather cleared up before our down here in the southern end. It did stop today but I heard it again on the awning a bit ago. It's supposed to rain again tomorrow with temps in the low 60's I'm OK with it better than triple digits
