Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario,
Canada.
We are truly Home and our sleeping soundly
proves that statement. We have both been sleeping like a couple of rocks and
sleeping later to boot. Again I’d finished my morning reading by the time that
Kathy woke up this morning. Our schedule for the day included final cleaning
and putting tools used to do what was needed back where they belong.
Light sandwich with Macaroni salad and Cantaloupe for dessert. |
I continued getting the last of the
electronic conveniences up and running while Kathy was busy going through the
owner’s packet that we got from Leisure Trailer. She was busy filling out
warranty cards for all the appliances inside the trailer that she felt was necessary.
Once Kathy was satisfied she had everything completed she started making lunch
keeping it light.
A cooler windier day. |
As mentioned in yesterday’s blog I was
busy mounting things to the walls using double-sided tape and Velcro. Once we’d finished eating lunch
today there were more things that got the Velcro
treatment which holds things from bouncing around as the trailer is being towed
down the road and being that we are towing our Home there are some things that
you prefer to leave out.
Level/Flag-Holder bracket mounted on the pinbox. |
With everything in its place my next
chore was to put away my tools while Kathy busied herself dusting and shining windows,
mirrors, television screens and countertops from fingerprints had left their
telltale smears. I even had time enough to fasten our Level/Flag-Holder bracket
in place on our pinbox.
End cupboard and small counter in kitchen. |
Double door fridge and freezer. Aa appliance garage next to the stove. Microwave/Convection/Exhaust hood over Oven/Stove. |
It was at that point that I thought
about checking how much rain we got with last night’s rain storm. When I checked
the rain gauge I was surprised that we had received an inch and three quarters (1-3/4”) of rain and there was a
possibility that some of that had evaporated due to my checking it so late in
the afternoon. I showed our neighbours Larry and Nicole as well as Kathy just
so they wouldn’t say I was bluffing. That is an unusually high amount of rain
for this area but the farmers can really use it.
Entertainment Center above electric Fireplace/Heater. |
Kathy working on her laptop sitting in one of the recliners. |
Going back inside the trailer I shocked Kathy
who was working on her computer when I started taking pictures of the interior.
Many of our readers had asked for pictures so now that things are better
organized it was only right to give you a tour of our new Home.
We kept our bedcover we'd bought while in the Avalanche. Our mascot Cleo on the pillows. |
The clock and phone base are Velcroed to the countertop. |
Looking towards the linen closet in the bathroom. The key rack is screwed into side of the linen closet. |
For supper Kathy again kept our meal
light because we were expecting company. Our daughter Karen and son-in-law Greg
came to see our new trailer as well as dropping off our grandson Tyler who
helped us with the move into our new Home. Tyler is spending the night
and then tomorrow he has a 2:00 “Tee
Time” to play golf. Even though he has golfed for a couple of years he is
not old enough to drive the carts here so I’ll be tagging along as a
non-golfing chauffer.
Supper was macaroni and cheese and an Asian salad. |
We’ll be taking a few days off from the
organizing to have a rest and to take care of other things that might come up. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe
and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Wow....how beautiful! I am so jealous of your refrigerator! We had one in our Motorhome. We have a regular one in our 5th wheel. I don't like it. You bought a beauty! Good luck.
ReplyDeleteBoy, that looks like a luxurious 5th wheel! So glad the transition went smoothly for you.
ReplyDeleteYour new home is beautiful, I know you will enjoy it very much.
ReplyDeleteYour new home looks great. Is your flag holder something that you made or did you purchase it somewhere. I am looking for something like that for our pin box.
ReplyDeleteWow, you have traded in your Avalanche! Congratulations on the new one! It is beautiful! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful new home... I know you will enjoy it and you're travels coming up!
ReplyDeleteYour new home is beautiful. Love that brick fireplace and spacious kitchen.
ReplyDeleteWell the photos were worth waiting for. It's beautiful. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful 5th wheel guys! I'm sure you will love even the smallest upgrades from your Avalanche.
ReplyDeleteYour new home is BEAUTIFUL! It's so roomy. Love the counter space. It's bigger than the first stick and brick home we had! Is the fireplace the furnace or is it for extra comfort and pleasure on cold evenings? Again, lots of luck in your new home. Couldn't be prettier. I love the bedspread, by the way.
