Making It More Like Home.

Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario, Canada.

After attending the Steak Dinner at the Park Clubhouse we had no problem leaving before the party was over knowing it would help us to clean up the clutter and groceries that still awaited us. Once the blog was posted we followed it with another well restful night’s sleep.

We splurged a little at the grocery store yesterday and the reward paid off when we had croissants rather than cereal for breakfast this morning. As part of our customary conversation we looked at what was still needed to make our new trailer feel more like our Home.

Kathy was busy rearranging her new fridge this morning. Even though it is larger than the one in the Avalanche it only means there is more room to lose things. After a closer examination we noticed that the door shelves are the same in both the freezer and the fridge. Calling Leisure Trailer and speaking to someone at the Parts Desk we were able to order additional shelves so that will take the small items off the main shelves allowing space for food dishes that Kathy would cook up in advance as she often does.

Once our order was taken we had other things to do. Kathy busied herself making Homemade Tomato/Cheddar Soup for our lunch. I located the supports inside our linen closet and set about mounting our key rack on the outside just above our nightstand.

After a tasty lunch I washed the dishes while Kathy dried them. Even though that soup is tasty it takes some serious scrubbing to get the pans and dishes clean.

Now with a clean kitchen Kathy started making Homemade Chili for our supper while I was busy mounting clocks, thermometers, special prayers, calendars and coat hooks. It’s amazing what you can do today with double sided tape and Velcro but you still need a level to make it all look good. I also managed to rewire our internet connection from behind the television which helped to eliminate a bunch of unsightly wires. In the older trailer because of the number of televisions we needed to run a separate coaxial cable between the slide seals in order for our internet to work.

Our supper was delicious as always plus there’s plenty left over for a few more meals. Kathy says the trailer is finally starting to look like Home and we are enjoying that feeling!

Shortly after the 6 o’clock News was over it started raining on and off. With the larger slides on this trailer the rain tends to gather on the Slide-Toppers but when the wind gets under them it sounds like Niagara Falls coming off our roof. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
