Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario,
Canada.
Could it be that we are just so relaxed
since we are sleeping in our new Home on our site at Wildwood Golf and RV Park that we are suddenly not having a
problem sleeping at night. Then again it could be that we have been so busy
since getting back to our site getting everything organized.
Due to her heart condition Kathy requires
more sleep than I do and especially after the mental strain of our move it will
take her longer to recover. I was up by 7:30 and she slept an extra hour. At
breakfast the main focus was again on organizing and changing things around. Remembering
that we had the Avalanche ten days shy of five years before we finally had
everything where we knew we could find it.
Even though we had accomplished a lot
yesterday we had to go back and refine some of those things. Kathy suggested
that I put the linens on the upper shelf rather than the bottom which in the
end made more room for toiletries and other supplies on the lower shelf. Kathy relocated
her pantry supplies to a lower counter cabinet making it easier to look down to
see what she wants rather than trying to see above her head.
After having another late lunch, I contacted
Jim at Windsor Gas and Diesel asking what is happening
with the truck. He had sent them an angry
E-mail after hearing my message on Tuesday morning because we can’t have
this happening if we are towing our trailer and are out of the area. The
company called him back within an hour to discuss the problem and what they had
repaired and replaced on the processor last month. He informed them he was
getting the same codes and the symptoms were exactly the same. This company stands
behind their work but felt it was better that just they refund what they had
charged us for the repair and that we should order a new processor from Ford. Jim had already done that and will not charge us any labor
so the only charge we are looking at is the price difference and he’s hoping
the part could be in tomorrow. That’s what you call looking out for your
customers. He’s got us hooked.
There were a number of trips made to the
Park Trash and Recycle Area this afternoon as well as
loading things in the trunk of the car that will be returned to the stores for
refunds as well as a few things going back to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. It’s not perfect yet but much more
functional that yesterday.
For supper I grilled up a couple of
steaks while Kathy sautéed some vegetables as well as making an herbed pasta. Our first cooked meal in our new Home and it all tasted
wonderful and was another celebratory meal.
Around 8:00 I called our son Gary’s cell
to wish him a Happy Birthday but
only got his voice message. Minutes later he returned my call because he had
been driving and didn’t want to be driving distracted especially on a highway.
The family had been to Quebec to see our granddaughter Emma
as a cadet instructor in dress parade. Since he was on vacation the family also
visited the Old Quebec City, the new City of Quebec and finally Montreal while they were on their way
home. It’s a trip the entire family will remember.
Tomorrow will be a more relaxed day so we’ll
run a few errands and hopefully one will be to pick up the truck. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe
and Enjoy!
It’s about time.

Once the work of arranging and re-arranging is done, it sure gives you a great feeling that you have things the way they work for you. Good news about your truck, hope you have it back soon.

ReplyDeleteSo glad you're in and getting settled. I'm almost finished packing my small trailer for my trip to Colorado. I find myself organizing, then reorganizing, and then wondering where I put something! LOL Wishing you lots of happy times in your new home. Can't wait to hear about your travels.
