Our Location today is McGregor, Ontario,
Canada.
After having so many nights of not being
able to sleep we are now sleeping so soundly through the night that we are
having difficulty waking up in the morning. Waking up at 8:30 I managed to get
things ready for breakfast and checking a few things on my laptop before going to wake Kathy.
I wasn’t being a Meanie but we had
an appointment for lunch and we had things to do before that.
Once breakfast and our inside chores were
finished I had things to get done outside. Watering the grass and flowers,
cleaning the patio and picnic table, putting toolboxes back in their cabinets
in the rear of the truck, straightening the inside of the shed, moving the
truck to the overflow parking by the clubhouse, getting rid of the trash and
recycle and walking back Home. All that was completed by
shortly after 10:30 this morning but because the Humidex was already at 90 F (32 C) I was soaking wet. Nothing like a refreshing shower in the
morning to make you feel alive.
Just before 11:30 we drove to the 19th Hole Restaurant at the front of the park where we met
our friend Vera for lunch. We all chose the Ruben sandwich with Onion Rings for
lunch. The food was delicious as usual and the service fast and courteous. We
sat talking long after finishing our meal partly because Kathy didn’t realize
that I’d already taken care of the bill.
Kathy rode back to the trailer with Vera
so that she could tell her the gate code and where our site was. With our patio
being well shaded at the time and there seemed to be somewhat of a breeze we
sat outside for nearly forty minutes before heading inside. In 2012 Vera and
her husband Bill had taken a trip to Wyoming with Kathy and I in our
truck and trailer. Showing Vera only some of the modifications we have made to
the trailer since then left her in awe. She was also amazed at how we use the
rear bedroom that she and Bill had slept in, as our office/extra bedroom &visiting
room. We showed her online what kind of trailer we were looking for which also
amazed her because she doesn’t know how to operate a computer. When we told her
of our plan to trade in our trailer she said whoever gets it will be getting
the best part of the deal. It was nearly 3:00 by the time Vera left thanking us
for letting her visit but we were more than happy that she could make it.
We finally had the chance to catch up on
our reading we had forgone this morning. After 4:00 Kathy suggested I go get
the truck and bring it back to our site. By the time I returned she had already
made pancakes covered with the last of our Strawberries and Whipped Cream for
our supper. Another tasty meal using food in the fridge so it wouldn’t go bad.
Tomorrow we’ll see what we can
accomplish while enjoying this Fulltiming
Lifestyle. Thanks for following along and
feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!
It’s about time.
