Making Room, Donations and Progress.

Our Location today is Tecumseh, Ontario, Canada.

Another good night’s sleep and I was up getting things ready for breakfast before going to turn on my computer at 7:30. Kathy must have really been tired when she slept an entire fifteen minutes longer than me. When we opened the curtains we cringed a little to see a fresh coating of that white stuff that we have both developed an allergy to.
Trucks backed up for miles leading to the Ambassador Bridge to the US.
As soon as breakfast was over Kathy settled in to do her morning reading while I just scanned to see who had written before heading back to the bedroom. No I wasn’t tired but determined to finish trying on all my clothes in the closet. By noon Kathy broke my stride by calling me to lunch but as soon as the dishes were washed I got right back to it. When 2:00 came around there were only a few things still on hangers packed in garment bags for me to keep and the rest were slated for donation. Kathy gave me a big high five. At this point I got caught up on my morning reading before we got ready to leave.

Dan the building manager called telling us another possible tenant was coming to see the apartment around 4:30. Our reply was if he was showing the place to the person himself to go ahead without us.

By 2:30 we had the truck loaded and were on our way to do some errands. First we stopped at Value Village to drop off the clothes I’d just gone through. Next we headed to Guardian Storage where we brought a few garment bags of clothes to our Climate Controlled Storage Unit. Driving across town we dropped off our signed address change forms with our financial advisor.

Since we didn’t want to be at the apartment for the showing today and it was nearing suppertime we used another Giftcard and another coupon to have another great meal at Swiss Chalet at a reasonable price. We’d beat the dinner crowd so we took our time having our meal but once the place started to fill we made our exit.
Ice along the riverbank.
We did stop at Canadian Tire for a quick walk around the store to wear down our supper. Then as we started heading towards Amherstburg Kathy remembered that she hadn’t found a new road atlas anywhere so we decided to look at Walmart. We did find their road atlases even though it’s not the Rand McNally version and slightly different she said she’d give it a try.
As the sun was setting
Our next stop was at our son Kevin and daughter-in-law Melissa’s house for our weekly Wednesday night visit. Kevin’s arthritis has been really aggravated by the recent cold temperatures outside. Melissa is on a new job at work but she started getting a scratchy throat just before we arrived. (Hope Kathy didn’t catch it.) The boys were having fun playing a video game together downstairs. As usual our discussions had some serious sides but the rest of the time there was lots of laughter.
Even Sulley tried visiting tonight.
On our drive back to the apartment the local police departments were busy issuing night time speeding tickets. Glad I took the lead out of my shoes before leaving home today. Thanks for following along and feel free to leave a comment. Be Safe and Enjoy!

It’s about time.

  1. You must have had a closet full of clothes. Next year you can look back on these photos and just think...glad I am not there.
